Quinny’s Sports Pub and Grill — Restaurant in Mahtomedi

Classic dinner food. Ribs,broasted chicken,good burgers, good salads and apps. Even have fish and steaks. Good variety with an easy smaller menu . Every time I've been there it's been good. Decent and pleasant service even at busy times. Stiff drinks are a plus😃 imho better than Guldens for same style of menu. About 5pm Sunday was pretty busy but still had seating. We ordered the specials which were, prime rib sammich with fries and the 4pc broasted chicken dinner for $2off. Both were excellent and the wild rice side with the dinner seemed to be a pretty decent quality wild rice. We also ordered a 6 ounce steak. That was a wee over done for medium rare, but it was still a very good steak . Every one was happy I suggested Jethro's tonight. Went to play bingo with friends and they bailed, so I was alone and sat at the bar. Apparently I didn’t order fast enough (literally was there under 5 minutes) and the owner had me move to a single seat in a corner and never helped me again! Told me if I wasn’t ordering, then I couldn’t sit at the bar!! I was speechless, shocked and humiliated! So I didn’t say anything to avoid crying. There were empty seats at the bar that were being used to hold purses! Purses! This establishment could care less about their customers (unless you are a regular). I would of left but I already spent money on a packet of bingo sheets! Everyone around me was shocked that the blonde owner did this to me! Totally uncalled for! This establishment started strong but failed to meet expectations. Had a date night with my wife at this venue and was asked to relocate from our table to another much less desirable location after less than an hour while we were still ordering food and drinks. The owner/manager was unapologetic and said she needed to correct for a reservation error they made with another group. When we expressed dissatisfaction we received no regrets or apologies. Lots of places in the area, find a better one.

Owner remains defensive and unapologetic. Doesn't recognize her rudeness of moving tables around us and encouraging us to leave is poor customer service. I guess you are welcome at this establishment as long as you don't take a table for more...
