Mahwah Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Mahwah

Came for a slice at lunch a few months ago. Usually go to Sonny and Tony’s right across the parking lot but figured I would try something new as a coworker recommended this place. Owner or whoever the older pizza guy with the grayish hair must have been having a bad day because he wasn’t very friendly. No smile or greeting on the way in just felt rushed and very unappreciated. Slices were ok but the guy rubbed me the wrong way. Came back today for a slice… same guy was there and a woman at the counter this time… I came in smiling and greeted her and got a “what can I get for you.” After ordering 1 slice she looked like I was bothering her or wasting her time because I didn’t order more. After receiving my slice I said thanks and have a great day. Again no smile or response… not even have a nice day. Slice was ok but the unfriendliness is unacceptable. You’re in the customer service business people! For now on I’ll be going back to Sonny and Tony’s where the staff is always friendly and food is consistently great! Only have a half hour for lunch and they get swamped but it’s worth the wait for the consistent quality of food and service! Maybe Mahwah pizza should walk across the parking lot and learn how to...

Jan.8,2017 Staying at a local hotel, I ordered for three people: Taco Pie, Meat Pie, Calamari, Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich with Fries, 20 oz Soda ($50) for delivery. Arrived within the time allowance but the food was barely room temperature. The pizza's were mushy and tasteless along with a dry crust despite paying extra for the "wood burning oven". Everything tasted like it came from a can or bottle. I have had better frozen pizzas. The philly was also cold and the fries were greasy and mushy too. The breading on the fried calamari was also mushy and cold. Lastly, the delivery person totally forgot the soda. Called to have them return to advise and they did return with the soda. . I tipped the delivery driver a healthy tip too. Not familiar with the area so I went by ratings on Grubhub which had an average of 4 stars. With this experience I would say that the google ratings reflect the quality of the food and service. I would think there must be better choices in the area. Eating at McDonalds or any other fast food joint would be comparable and probably...

Never got my food delivery & still charged!!! I ordered a delivery last week. The delivery person called me saying he couldn't find my house, and stated the house number he was supposedly in front of which was my direct neighbors house number. I went outside and there was no car in front of my neighbors home, even though this guy kept insisting he was out front. I was on the phone for at least 45 minutes with the driver, who kept insisting he was out front of my neighbors when there was never a car there. I called the restaurant and the dude there claimed the driver was in front but the police had stopped him (there were NOT any police officers on my street that night). I then requested that they refund my money as I never received the food. The next day I checked my bank, and the $17 charge was still on my account. I called the restaurant and the manager the next day and he said he'd refunded it… Almost a week later and the $17 charge still hasn't been reversed. I had to file a fraud charge...
