Wow! First of all zero stars would be my choice if it was given. I’m dumbfounded and so offended by the lack of professionalism and customer service of this place, mainly the (blonde) hostess. We decided to take my mother in law to her favorite brunch place for Mother’s Day and waited as it was understandably busy. What seemed like other people were being seated ahead of us as they walked in, my mother in law asked where we were on the wait list as my two little ones were getting restless after 50 min of waiting when we originally told it would be a 45 min. wait. She was told our party was next by the manager. Okay great. However, over the next 10 minutes, 4 other arriving parties were still being seated ahead of us. My wife and mother in law asked the hostess how much longer, but were told that they were calling us and we weren’t responding. We were waiting right in front of them the entire time! Let me say that the wait wasn’t the thing that was the main issue as we knew it was a busy day for the business. However, my mother in law was explained to the rude hostess that my little ones were starting to get very restless and the blonde hostess started to say “I’ve heard it all before.” Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she was just a poor hiring decision, but I was taken aback at first as she wasn’t spoken to with an attitude. The hostess proceeded to say “I feel sorry for people like you.” We were in shock and felt offended that someone in the service business would say something like this to a customer. We left the restaurant, and the manager came after us in the parking lot offering to seat us, but with being treated so disrespectfully, who would want to go back into an establishment that makes mothers feel offended on Mother’s Day? Will not be going back for sure. I certainly hope this hostess’ mom isn’t treated the way she treat my mother in...
Read moreThis is truly a great restaurant with great ownership and amazing customer service. From the first phone call to the food --from start to finish was amazing!!!! Sotiri is excellent, warm, friendly from our first conversation via phone. I had a ton of questions and he answered them all very professionally and made sure that everything was in full clarity. I had 2 functions to order for and all was Super delish. I also had some folks with dietary restrictions and allergies, and he was super sensitive and accommodating to those needs --- Avocado Toast was awesome - I was told-
Sure, I can look at the menu, however, when you are at work and trying to organize a catered function, you definitely need the guidance of the experts that work there, I have called other restaurants and they do not give you the time of day- that is when they do not get my business or referrals.
Not the case here at all--A million thanks to Sotiri for his amazing follow up and I did visit the restaurant and it was so clean, warm and friendly. Now let's continue with the FOOD!
We had the French Connection. If you have not tried the Pistachio French toast - you need to! They were excellent and were a suggested sell by Sotiri ( he was not lying) The brunch potatoes scored high as well.
I am a sausage lover and not all places carry good meats. I must say the sausage scored a "10" -- I did not try the bacon- because it was all gone in a blink of an eye as was everything else, that says it all. We also had the Crepes -- those were gooood as well.
Again, my sincere thanks to Sotiri, chef and staff. Everyone asked, ' Where is this food from?" I told them, and they were all like I am going to be visiting Brunch Cafe in Niles real soon.
If this service keeps up and never changes -- you will continue to be super successful. You got our vote-- :) ...
Read moreBrunch Cafe is located in a strip mall, and if you're not looking for it, it can easily be missed. As of Oct 2021, they do have a few tables for outdoor dining, and their indoor dining area is rather spacious, consisting of multiple booths and tables. Inside, the decor is modern and really nice. We sat outside, which is under cover, so no worries if it is raining. Thankfully though, it was an unseasonably warm October day when I went, with clear skies. In contrast, the one thing you would need to worry about is the glare that bounces off the metal tables.
Our server was super nice and attentive and kept our coffees filled. I had the carnitas hash, which came with two large eggs, cooked to your style (I chose over-easy), potatoes, green and red peppers, in a spicy sauce. The carnitas was seasoned great and tender. My only disappointment was I was really hoping/thinking it would be shredded hashbrowns in the dish (hence "hash") but the potatoes where cut into chunks instead. The runny egg yolk was a great compliment to the dish. The dish also came with a choice of toast or pancakes, in which I chose the pancakes. The pancakes came in two, and they were good as well.
Overall, the meal was good, the food came out quick, and the server was great.
BATHROOM REVIEW: Located in the back left, the bathroom was nice and modern as well. It consisted of a urinal and stall. The flush to the toilet was super strong, and overall clean. There are two sinks to wash your hands, although at the time of visit, there was no soap in the dispenser. Paper towel dispenser to dry your (non-soaped) hands. Sit...
