The opportunity to meet Erik, the manager at this location, was a pleasant surprise. He is the reason why I came back to this restaurant. His passion and dedication to his job is evident in the way he runs this place. It's clear that he truly cares for this restaurant, just like Papa Ochoa would have. Erik has a personal approach and makes you feel like family, just like Papa Ochoa did. Not only that, but the staff also seems happy to have him as their boss. Erik is always willing to lend a hand, whether it's running food or refilling drinks. My server, Susie, was exceptional and truly cares about her job. This was a refreshing change from previous experiences where the service was lacking and made you feel uncomfortable because you didn't sat in their section and the only way we only came back because of the free food and margaritas but after a while the service suck and they made us feel uncomfortable that we didn't want to come back.
But with Erik and his new staff, we felt welcomed and valued as customers. We will definitely be back to this location, thanks to Erik...
Read moreAs a rule I would give the review 5 stars however I was pretty surprised to learn that they have changed. Apparently, when ordering tortilla soup it no longer comes with the small amount of rice and sliced avocado. It had to be purchased separately and if I had to guess I would say that they just threw some water in a bowl with a few slices of bell pepper and onion along with a sliver of chicken with the tortilla chips in it. This was pretty disappointing coming from this restaurant. Ochoa's as a rule of thumb has always been really good food. The soup was the only issue we had and the rest of the food was really great. The Enchilada dinners, fajitas, taco a cabin, and the rest of the food that our employees ordered was amazing. It was fresh and hot. Over all everything including the service is amazing minus the infraction of the change in the tortilla soup. We have been eating here on occasions for...
Read moreAuthentic Mexican food. I love the salsa here and the chips are always fresh. Lots of classic Mexican dishes, and you can substitute the refried beans for charro beans aswell. The waiter was super friendly and we never ran out of drinks, I highly recommend this place, they even have seating for larger crowds and birthday parties (just call ahead). Plus seating for date night, both booths and tables. They even have a bar area aswell. I absolutely love this place and the food is always really well made. Only complaint is the wheelchair accessibility, they have two doors, one on the outside that enters a L shaped hallway and one leading into the restaurant, it's set up in such a way that no one inside can see you at the door ( you can call for them to let...
