Another failed experiment by giving depietro’s a shot because my wife likes the pizza there (I honestly don’t see how when vinnie’s And Pisa much better product and service). Ordered for delivery at 459pm pizza wings and sticks. They said 35-45 min for delivery. 6pm comes still not here so we called, women said well the driver is about to leave and sorry for the delay. I live 7 min driving from the place, 625pm rolls around and still not here so I called again women says they should be there any minute, I said well it’s been an hour and a half since I ordered and 45 min past due the original 45 min eta of my order. My 4 year old is screaming that he’s hungry. No remorse she said it’ll be a couple more minutes we are busy ..: jeez an hour and a half later you tell me you’re busy I could have gone to every pizza place in Malden had a slice at each and still be back before the driver made the delivery. Needless to say the delivery driver showed (hefty rude guy chewing gum like a cow) doesn’t say hi doesn’t say sorry for the delay hands me the pizza and the bag. I told him I’m gonna run in for a sec to check the food not surprising to find out the pizza and sticks are cold and the wings are luke warm. I open the door to talk to the delivery guy and he’s nowhere to be found. He literally dropped the food off and jetted out of here. I called back and spoke to 2 different women and then she was like omg I’m sorry to hear that, I asked for a refund and told them to have mr hefty come back and bring the food back with him. They told me I have to call Robert (owner) back at 10am tomorrow. I said you can’t issue a refund right now she said no he can only do it. Read moreReally disappointing experience with this restaurant. Placed an order through Grubhub which got almost immediately cancelled. Cancellation reason in email we can’t fulfill this order. Ok, go to website and was going to actually order pickup but after creating an account ( you have to)and adding my address I see a big “we deliver “ plastered across their website. No visible delivery limits listed while creating account. No warning or prevention when placing order that order is outside of range( this is standard for almost any website I can ever remember ordering from that offers delivery). After receiving an email confirmation and waiting for an hour, I called the restaurant. The woman who answered was NOT pleasant and should not be answering phones. Terrible customer service. When I explained I was looking for the status her reply was “ ya we had to cancel both of those orders… that’s too far” ( it’s 2.8 miles and 11 minutes for reference). I explained that I placed an order through a delivery service Grubhub(how is a customer to assume or know that you don’t actually utilize Grubhub delivery drivers….) and a separate order through their website to which I received a confirmation email for and that I received no notification from them via email or call that they were unable to fulfill this order. This could have been resolved quickly had someone actually had the decency or customer service minded behavior to call, as I would have simply asked to pick it up instead. The woman i normally order from told me i have to be specific about wanting purple onion instead of white onion on my pizzas when ordering . this after i complained to her that the last pizza i bought was covered in sloppy white onions. So that night i ordered my usual light cheese, light purple onion, light mushroom,and light peppers well done . No problem . Now i always used to walk there and place my order at the counter to avoid confusion .... but the owners told me it's easier if i call ahead so i have been for the past couple of months . Tonight i called for my usual ,light cheese, light purple onion, light mushroom,and light peppers well done . but i had to repeat my order three times to the young woman on the phone. After hanging up . i thought for a minute or three , according to my phone records i spent 3 minutes ordering the pizza and i called back seven minutes after i first called (do the math 3 minutes after i got off the first call ) and realized the person i spoke with was not the woman i normally order from and the order itself was confusing so i called back to remind her purple onion . i come to get my pizza the manager tells me the pizza was in the oven for ten minutes already and i had not said purple onion when i first ordered . insisted on it right up to yelling and screaming at me . i will never eat here again . it has been a long time since anyone who's last name was Dipietro had anything to do with this place. and their willingness to scream at a lifelong customer speaks volumes .My friends will know what i mean when i...
