Came to this restaurant based on reviews and now that I have been I feel duped. This is a hole in a wall restaurant that should be considered somewhat of a greasy spoon. It's in an old home and it seats a few tables. Luckily when we arrived on a Saturday at 10am we were able to get seated. A five person family on a four top table.
The place was very busy and besides the owner there were 2 other waitresses. They seemed very overwhelmed with the busy morning. We had to ask constantly for coffee refills and for silverware and for Pancakes syrup. We have dined with lots at many restaurants but the lack of service was deafening.
I ordered a Farmer's Omelette which came with English muffins. My husband ordered eggs over easy, home fries, and bacon. An order of pancakes AND 2 full breakfasts for the kids were also ordered. . My Farmers omelette was so greasy. It had at least 1/2 cup of cheese on top of the oil that was used to cook the omelette. I scraped some potatoes, a little bit of eggs, but otherwise it was inedible. The English toast were hardly toasted and they were slabbed with a ton of margarine. Margarine doesn't melt so there was at least tbsp on each slice. It was disgusting. . We asked for fried eggs medium but...
Read moreJust had our first experience here, for Mother’s Day none the less. What a great little place. It is quite literally one half of a large twin home seats at full capacity about 24 people. Our litmus test, coffee, is what we use for all places we visit for breakfast and this place did not disappoint, just a simple very good cup of coffee which put my wife in a great mood (she is critical of new places and is a person who “likes what she likes”). Breakfast was simply done and very good from fresh fruit to pancakes to eggs to omelets nothing was overdone and nothing was bad. Just the kind of breakfast we like. Our 2 and 5 year old had a blast and the small family house like environment I think made them feel more comfortable. We will definitely be making this place a frequent stop since we like about 6 mins away. Happy Mother’s Day to all the great mom’s! And especially the owner who had her son there today working right...
Read moreWas really excited to try this place, and I won’t be coming back. I totally understand being understaffed, but no one came to check on my table or refill drinks after the initial bringing until I got my food. The pancakes were not fully cooked, and the server with the dark hair acted annoyed when I said they gave me a wrong item. Upon paying, when I handed the same server the receipt with the tip, as I turned around she said audibly “you should really smile”. You have absolutely no clue what’s going on in someone’s life, the social anxieties they’re overcoming, or the morning they may have had. “Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about” should be posted for that woman to read every single day. You have no right to be so rude. Just because I’m not bubbly or happy does not mean you get to degrade me. What a...
