Awful experience thanks to the blonde woman with the tattoos working the patio who is “a manager at the lodge.” Our 4 and 6 year olds are crying right now because of how she treated us, so thanks for ruining the day.
As a family of former servers and restaurant managers, we a thousand percent understand that this job can be a pain and that customers can be annoying. That said, we were literally just sitting at a table on the patio, which appeared to be open seating, and she was beyond condescending to us from the moment we sat down for no apparent reason.
Instead of a greeting she snapped, “Did you ask them if you could sit here?” referring to the couple at the other end of the table who didn’t mind at all. She then circled back to rudely ask if we had already ordered and we said yes, through the QR code, because we thought that’s what we were supposed to do. She comes back in a huff to drop our order off and curtly says “you can’t eat this here.”
I told her that she wasn’t being very polite, and there’s no reason to be speaking to us that way. As a response (or was it an excuse?) she proudly announced that she is the manager of the restaurant. While I highly doubt that, if it’s true it’s a real red flag for this establishment.
If there were rules on this patio that we weren’t aware of, please just explain that politely instead of treating us so disrespectfully, and in front of small children no less. We are more than happy to oblige if we are aware of the process - but there were no clear instructions posted or employees explaining what we needed to do.
We were excited to visit The Yodler and never expected this kind of treatment from a restaurant located at a popular tourist destination. To the server in question, you put a big damper on everyone’s day, so I hope you think twice next time before taking your bad mood out on...
Read moreFirst things first: they no longer have their nachos. Definitely a shame but their vegetable fries are equally as delicious. We've been coming here for years but haven't been in a while. Generally service is good and so is the food. Most recently went in this weekend. The restaurant wasn't crazy busy. Our server, Jason, was BEYOND sub par. We were waiting on a few people to join our group, so we went back and forth- to order or not to order. We decided to wait on our additional party members and Jason was no where to be found after. In addition to that we had to flag down a busser to get Jason's attention, saw that he had acknowledged the busser and still had to wait while he was showing some- I'm assuming- friends at the bar something on his phone.
I've been in the service industry. I understand the stress and not being able to meet every customer's standards but I felt completely disrespected and decided not to order dinner and leave. You know it's bad when I'm willing to pass up a meal.
The Yoddler was always one of my favorite stops to grab a bite after being on the slopes, but I won't be returning after...
Read moreBeen here many times over the years. Expensive resort prices to be expected, and food tends to be very good. So it takes a lot to give a 1 star review, especially for a place I WANT to like and enjoy. Plain and simple, you'll be lucky to get your food at all. Most times I've been here, I've never been waited on or had a staff member come by a single time. Sat there and eventually just ordered food at the bar. Watched many others around me close out their drink tabs and have to cancel food orders that never arrived after an hour. The lack of shade at the outdoor tables is inconsiderate especially with the wait times (which is usually no less than a half hour or 45 minutes when you actually get your food, and you have to go find it yourself when it's brought out).
Oh, and NOBODY needs a live DJ while they're trying to...
