Tusks Bar — Restaurant in Mammoth Lakes

This is a good mountain side bar that is part of the main lodge at Mammoth. The food is surprisingly good, but the only service is the bartenders (who are all great and efficient with the orders despite the long lines at peak times). The DJ'd music and live bands are usually quite good, but the speakers are just a hair too loud for those sitting on the outside patio (I think they have the volume set high to reach those on the slopes near the lifts, but that could be solved with simply adding speakers on the...

I prefer sitting outside and having boozy hot cocoa by the slopes. It can be busy inside, especially on weekends and holidays. The 2 of us had 4 types of boozy cocoa. Service is always friendly but they get so busy!! Be patient, they work hard. The only food is hot dogs but you can walk over to the "food depot" (my words not theirs) and grab something to bri g back...
