Asahi Steak House — Restaurant in Manasquan

Only replying to the positive reviews? Thanks for almost sending me to the hospital and then yelling at me like I was the one in the wrong. Got the menu off of beyond menus. Called the place to order and they seemed fine. I started eating my sushi and immediately noticed there was avocado in my sushi. Not only did the roll not list avocado, but it also was not asked for in addition because of an allergy. When I called, the girl argued with me like I asked for avocado. She eventually put her boss on to talk to me and he couldn’t speak enough English to resolve this. The same girl got back on the phone and started raising her voice at me and eventually hung up when I pushed back. When I called back to ask for a refund she started in on me again like it was listed. I told her it is not and I wanted a refund. She started yelling at me again so I demanded a full refund and to speak w the manager. She lied and said she was the manager after telling me in the previous phone call that the man I spoke with was the boss. So I asked her if she was the owner and she said yes. So not only does this place lie, but they also messed up my food and then told me that I could not order from there again if I got a refund. Never order from this place ever. Please refer to the picture I posted of the role which does not list avocado. UPDATE: This woman legitimately called me back just now and told me to take down my yelp review in order to get my money back. Oh… She also asked me to write a letter. When I told her there is no way I'm writing a letter on their behalf and taking down my review before I get my money back, and will call a lawyer if they keep calling me and making threats, she called...

where do i begin well first off i wouldnt even rate this place 1 star but i had to to write and post my review .. i work in a facility where we order from ASAHI almost 3 times a month we love there food we never had complaints about this restaurant until NOW !. i always order the bento box salmon teriyaki and as i went to sit down to open up my platter a ROACH crawled out from the box and onto to the table i immediately took a napkin and killed the bug i called the restaurant back to let them know the situation and they was arguing with me on the phone saying its not A roach the restaurant is clean .... now everyone knows that no matter how clean a restaurant is every restaurant has roaches its just where they like to be its normal we get it ( kinda ) well the owner comes flying back to my job to check to actually see if it was a bug or not , whether it was a roach or not it was still a LIVE bug in my platter when i opened it. he comes back yelling and screaming he looked at the bug in the napkin and goes this is not a ROACH ???? its a old BUG like really ?? i had 3 people sitting next to me when the BUG jumped out my tray !!!! he goes its not from us my restaurant clean ? OK sir your restaurant is clean but how does that justify that theirs a dam bug in my food ? he says i can bring you back chicken it is more cheaper ? NO i did not order chicken i ordered salmon why cant you just replace my meal and shut the hell up i mean he was yelling and screaming he even picked up my tray of food and tossed it into the garbage ??? ridiculous , poor service, horrible judgment and overall...

I ordered from them tonight but was refused because I was told that I refused food that was delivered to me. I have been ordering from Asahi 3 to 4 times a week for the past 2 months. I ordered a few days ago on a weekday not Thursday or Friday in mid May and the order did not show up after an hour. I called the restaurant and they told me it was on its way and I would receive it in 15 minutes. After an hour and a half, it did not show up and I canceled it with Beyond Menu.

The food is outstanding and very fresh but delivery inconsistent and the owner does not value super regular customers. I will not be back

Previous Posts: delivery super swift. ordered a second time on 4/9 after first post 4/6. i ordered the salmon tartar and it was delicious. perfect blend of spicy and salmon so the spicy did not overpower the salmon. there was a lot of salmon. this isn't a hamburger patty of spicy salmon roll without the rice and wrapper. an amazing blend of flavor - loved it and of course love their inari roll and vegetable roll so fresh.

just had Yuzu Soicy Tuna - amazing on 5/10. This restaurant never stops amazing me. I order from them at least...
