Bad place to go, not a friendly environment. I was in New Jersey visiting my family. We decided to go out and eat at this place because the Irish thing, I love Irland I went to Dublin 2 years ago and I got in love with irish people, kindness and food.
I was the first one to get there with my father who is a senior citizen. While waiting for my family to get there my father went to the restroom. I was waiting inside for everybody to get there, checking my cellphone. Then an impolite, bald head guy with glasses which you can tell isn't the owner, asked me if I needed something. I told him that I was waiting for someone. Then in a very rude way, he asked me to leave cuz restrooms are only for customers. I didn't know what to say, what a nice kind of business. After my father came out, my family got there and I told them what happened and we went to another place after this unfortunate situation. Yes, 8 customers leaving to another restaurant because of this guy's...
Read moreFirst bar tender was rude when we sat down; Gave us a dirty look and was brisk, lacked basic customer service skills. The other bartender that took our order made up for the first woman's incompetence by being friendly and efficient. We were told there would be an extended wait for food since there was a chef out, understandable but an inconvenience to customers none the less. Overheard the owner saying one chef was out and a bus boy was "arrested" so I guess they were short staffed. They closed the kitchen at 8:30 but we put our orders in before hand. Menu is expensive but the prices are very high and the portions do not match. The 1/4 sliders are 10$, they are two very small burgers that only come with cheese not even French fries or chips, not even a pickle, pretty stingy, you'll get a better value...
Read moreGreat little spot nestled in downtown Manasquan right by the train station. Good amount of seating for the size and a nice bar area. Grab a drink before your train or come to watch a game, the atmosphere is warm and you are bound to run into someone you know. All the drinks you can think of and a surprisingly large menu, the food here is a welcomed surprise. Delicious and reasonably priced, I struggle to find something on the menu which I have not thoroughly enjoyed ( try the French dip!). Trivia here is a must! And Steve the bartender/trivia master is a consummate professional and is guaranteed to have you laughing within minutes of walking through the door.
A must stop whenever I am taking the train into the city or need a warm meal and a beer after a...
