A Greek bistro??? Wait, that's different. Situated right off I66, easy parking... count me in. My best girl and I went with the hopes of finding something that breaks the mold. Instantly I got great vibes walking in the door. This is the kind of venue you expect to walk into when in Georgetown, Old Town, or even Middleburg. Owner on site sat us. Always.... when the owner is at the business says they have a vested interest in its success. Great wine / beer list, solid menu with plenty of choices. This is where things got sketchy. My girl orders a "vegetarian pizza" with pepperoni on it. The look on the owners face was like he just got punched in the gut. He sighed deeply and said "we can do that"... After walking into the kitchen, I turned to my girl and asked..."why did you do that.... ???" She replied... well I saw how amazing the charcuterie boards looked and I knew they must have amazing pepperoni here...". Ok... I can see the logic. Fast forward... out comes the pizza with beautiful slices of perfectly arranged pepperonis surrounded by fresh veggies. The crust was a home run and the sauce, on point. I had ordered a Greek panini (with no insults- as is)... it was legit too. All in all... great experience worthy of 5 stars. After learning we didn't actually insult the owner, I confirmed we were invited back (He's a great guy when you get to know him). Good thing, I can't wait for...

Wondering whether you should venture out to this adorable bistro? Just say yes.

We stumbled upon this gem by accident and could not have been more grateful that we did.

We were kindly greeted by the owner, Elias, who has a soft but clear passion to his culture that brings you in like gravity; curious and confident, eager to jump in!

If you want a few suggestions on the menu we have shared what we ordered here.. everything was truly wonderful!

What we ordered: Drinks: Wine flight & Loux Lemonade (Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks were sublime)

Small bites; Oil & vinegar dip sampler (recommended house blend w. baba ghanoush dip) Mini spanakopites Greek sampler

Signature Salad: Greek salad

We also grabbed a couple bottles of wine to go to continue the great experience at home. Next time we will get their adorable olive oil and tasty spices too. (The discount for grab and go was a lovely perk!)

PS: It may look like it’s “off the beaten path” but it really isn’t, it’s only moments away from the Manassas Home Depot and Tractor Supply Co. The exterior of the establishment is understated, but you are nearly transported to Greece once the door closes; in atmosphere, cuisine, and community.

…While this was our first visit, we will certainly be back and...

My friends, including me, were planning a bridal shower for the sweetest girl; we wanted to do something extraordinary for her. We found this "hidden gem" place while searching for the party; long story short, everything about the place is outstanding. A few points that I want to emphasize about Taste of Old Country are as follows.

*The quality of food: The quality of food that Elias (the owner) prepares is impressive. The olive oils, cheese, all other ingredients that they are using are another level. The wine that Elias selected is exceptional (I personally recommend red wines). Elias knows his FOOD.

*The superb service: Elias asked us when the guests were arriving to serve the food tasted the best. Highly customized services according to our event schedule were just speechless. He really wanted us to have fun. He genuinely cares.

*The place: The restaurant is cozy, clean, the atmosphere is welcoming and warm.

Everyone who attended the party was fascinated by Elias's excellent service, quality of food, and how cute the place is. A few of us ended up buying olive oils on the same day. Please consider this place for your next special event, which you will not regret. Again, thank you, Elias, for your excellent work. We really had...
