My husband and I went to dinner this evening, we were greeted by host and seated. Our waitress came over and asked if we wanted drinks, we said yes and placed our order. We ordered our meal, wait seemed a little long but we enjoyed each other company. Dinner came, it was acceptable. Our waitress came back to check how everything was between salad and entree. She came back to refill my husband's soda but never returned. We waited approximately 35 minutes for the waitress to return with check, to take dessert order and supply boxes for our left overs, which were pushed to the outside of the booth to signal we were finished eating. I finally got the host attention and he came over and ask what we needed. I said our waitress? We would like our check. He asked what her name was. Neither of us could recall. He asked what she looked, same thing. He went to the bar, we assume to look up who served us. My husband was facing the bar and he said waitress and female bartender exchanged conversation, looked up at us and both gave us nasty looks. Several minutes passed with still no server. The bartender came over, and asked if everything was OK. We said yes, it's fine, we would just like dessert, check and box. She said OK I'll be right back with your check. I said "Don't we get dessert with 2 for $20 deal?" She said no and walked away. We would've paid additional money for dessert but weren't even given that option. We needed to break a $20 for the bill, so I went to the bar and 3 waitresses, a waiter and bartender were at the end of the bar, all ignored me while looking at someone's cell phone. After waiting close to 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me, bartender came over and got my change. I cannot say I've ever had a more disturbing experience at a restaurant in my life. We will not be returning, and I will be sending this experience to Applebees corporate...
Read moreEvery time I've come here the service is good, people are friendly and the food is great! Even the one time I experienced an issue a few months ago it was dealt with professionally. People aren't perfect we all make mistakes. It's how we deal with what comes our way.
I decided to write this review because I came in with my son today. It had been a normal day we came in happy without a care in the world. We ordered drinks and a French onion soup to share and placed the rest of our order.
Before our food came out I was breaking down. I literally just found out my aunt had passed away.
Jason J was our waiter and he did everything to make sure I was ok. I knew he was busy I could see that. He repeatedly asked if he could do anything for me and apologized for my loss.
I asked him if he could just put my food to go. He put my sons food in a to go container too. I was letting him eat there, but it definitely come in handy for when we left with his leftovers ready to go. It was smart thinking. He even opened my sons applesauce for me.
Before I left he gave me a hug and again said he was sorry for my loss. This kind of compassion is what we need. He went above and beyond. It meant so much to me as I was it in their trying to cope with the news I just received.
He was so busy and still took the time to care when he didn't have to. I know he probably never had that happen before and he dealt with it well. Thank you so much and I hope someone tells you about...
Read moreAbsolutely the worst service. I blame management more than my server. 1 waitress outside handling 5 tables and then you get ignored. It took 20 minutes to get my check. i had to ask for salt 3 times, and finally when it came out, my wife's french fries were cold. The manager came out to see what I was waiting for and I told her I was still waiting for my check and told her about how bad the service was and why I thought it was bad and I did not even get an apology. Then the waitress came out to finally bring my check and I will assume the manager said something to her, because she had an attitude. I am a regular customer, and when the inside was open, I always sat at the bar because Nick always gave us great service. I would recommend than all servers and manager's take a lesson on how to treat a customer from Nick. He is the best. It is a shame, I live around the corner from this Applebee's and I will not be going there again until the inside bar opens, and that is as long as Nick still works there. Everyone else really could care less about...
