I have been couple of time for this place and both times its bad food- i am not just judging on taste but quality and freshness of the food. Recently visited on my birthday ordered Bahubali Dosa with onion- which is decent but chutney is horrible cold and taste less, Suggested by waiter guntur chicken starter- 0/10- dry, hard chicken might cooked week back- cant taste anything apart from hard cubes, next schezwan chicken fired rice - 0/10 rice stinks -used same dry chicken, smells horrible- unable to eat more than a spoon of rice . the one star is only for Dosa- size and adding onions on request. When gave feedback about the rice - they did not charge us but i went to have good food which they completed spoiled it.

We left the food on the tables ,This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. The food smelled rotten — clearly old or close to expiry — and tasted just as bad. It was honestly inedible and a complete waste of money. What made it even worse was the rude behavior from the staff at the front desk. The woman we interacted with was only interested in taking money, with zero concern for customer service or even basic courtesy. Her attitude was arrogant and dismissive. This place completely kills the essence and emotion that Indian food is supposed to bring. I strongly recommend staying away from this restaurant — it's a disgrace to Indian cuisine.

Not my cup of tea. I didn't enjoy the food but others might. There service was fast and good. The staff were helpful and friendly. Even though the rating might be low, that isn't a reflection of the taste others might have. They had a decent quantity of food in the thali. Major complaint I have is that the flavour from the different curries (and sweet dishes) remained separate from the main items (like the meat didn't embody the taste of the curry or the payasam felt like boiled rice and milk and sugar separately combined). Anyhow it might cater to someone else's palate, but not mine.

I had the pleasure of dining here for a buffet that left me thoroughly impressed with both its delectable cuisine and exceptional service. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

The variety and quality of the food offered at the buffet were truly outstanding. Each dish was expertly prepared with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients, showcasing the rich and diverse culinary heritage of India. From fragrant biryanis to flavorful curries, every bite was a tantalizing journey for the taste buds. The buffet spread catered to all palates, with options from vegetarian to non-vegetarian, ensuring that there was something for everyone to enjoy.

What truly set this Indian buffet apart, however, was the impeccable service provided by the staff. Throughout the meal, the servers were attentive, courteous, and always ready to accommodate any requests. They went above and beyond to ensure that every guest felt welcomed and well taken care of, enhancing the overall dining experience.

Moreover, the ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and comfortable, creating the perfect setting for a leisurely meal with family and friends. Whether dining solo or with a group, the relaxed atmosphere and attentive service made for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend this Indian buffet to anyone in search of delicious food and excellent service. With its wide array of mouthwatering dishes and top-notch hospitality, it truly stands out as a gem in the culinary landscape. I look forward to returning soon to indulge in another...

To be fair, my first visit was good. Reason? Almost all Indian/Desi restaurents place hygiene & Cleaniness in lowest possible priority. This place is better, but the washrooms are still messy - Tissue dispenser don't work, smelly room, door knobs about to fall. Now, my latest and possibly the last visit to this aweful place was a service industry nightmare. Waiting Staff - these are ppl who have no experience, Zero. Portion size - Absolutely unbelievable. I've eaten in Indian restaurents in multiple states. And St. Louis is no San francisco or France. So a $15 tandoori chicken with 2 pieces was unexpected but the waitress should know better when she sees 3 people ordering. An experienced waitress should have suggested somthing else or atleast let us know the portion. Food Taste - I had mutton and chicken dish. And one thing i can say with confidence, these people Should stick to what they CAN cook and remove food items from menu what they CAN'T. It was pathetic, undercooked and don't get me started on portion size. A small bowl. For $15 entree. Check portion at Anis Hyderabad, Paradise Biryani, Haveli etc. They have atleast 50-100% more portion size with better tasting food.

I feel bad about the unsuspecting locals/Non-desi folks who go to these 'Pseudo' High end Indian food joint and think that's Normal Indian food. Nope, that's not. They might cook good biryani(I doubt its better than proven Paradise Biryani), but with the lackluster service and food i was offerred, i would not be willing to spend my time and Money on food joint that's missrepresenting Indian food culture to non-Indians.

Work on these points and maybe we can come...

I’ve eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants, but Bawarchi in St. Louis absolutely stands out. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with the warm aroma of spices and a welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home.

We started with their crispy samosas, which were perfectly seasoned and came with tangy chutneys that complemented them beautifully. For our mains, we ordered the chicken biryani and paneer butter masala — and both were incredible. The biryani was fragrant, full of depth, and had just the right amount of heat. The paneer was creamy, rich, and so comforting. The garlic naan was soft, buttery, and perfect for soaking up every bit of sauce.

Portions are generous, prices are very reasonable, and the quality of the ingredients really shines through. The servers were attentive and happy to explain dishes or recommend spice levels to suit your taste.

If you’re craving authentic Indian flavors and a great dining experience, Bawarchi delivers every time. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely...
