It pains me to be so negative but I have had the absolute worst experience with this location in particular and Best Buy in general. I purchased an item on 11/2 that went on sale a couple days later so I initiated a price match via the online chat on 11/6. They told me the item was eligible and I would get an email confirmation once the refund was processed.
Four days later I get an email that they cannot honor the price match because the item isn't CURRENTLY on sale. It was four days prior when I started all of this but not when they finally got around to doing the refund. A few emails back and forth with progressively worse English told me I wasn't getting anywhere led me to the store.
I spoke with their customer service, and mind you this is the week of Thanksgiving so I understand they are busy, but the lady said they are blacked out from doing price matches so she recommended bringing the item back to return it and then just repurchase it. Why that is the solution makes no sense to me since I'm trying to avoid the headache and extra work but I complied.
I returned with the item to return during the afternoon on Black Friday only to be told that they don't have anyone working customer service. They recommended giving their customer service line a call which is where I am now, after spending 42 minutes on the phone to be told that the approval or turn down of price matches are handled by "the back office" and they do not have the ability to change that ruling.
It's just a price match guys. I may be unreasonable here, but I have never had this much issue ever over something so seemingly simple and the more time I waste with this the more frustrated I get about the whole thing. I have worked retail for nearly a decade and I just can't understand how I've been stuck dealing with this for so long.
If anyone has bothered to read this, my recommendation is to get whatever it is you are looking at from someone else. If you just have to have that certain something, you will have a much better experience virtually anywhere else online or otherwise because apparently if you need help with anything other than a routine transaction, Best Buy is completely and utterly incapable of...
Read moreI purchased a computer from Best Buy in Brentwood Mo. in 13' and paid for "Geek Squad" coverage for 2 years. My device worked well until it caught a virus which is when I took it to the Best Buy in Ballwin Mo. I was notified 2 days after drop off that my device was ready for pick-up. When I showed up to pick up my device - my computer was returned to me with a broken keyboard. There was absolutely no explanation as to how my keyboard was broken and little care shown that it was in fact broken on their watch. The first "manager" - Shiela, that I spoke with informed me that they did in fact break it and would have to send it off to be repaired with a 3-4 week turn around. I let them know that in no way was that an acceptable option. "Manager #2" - Allan, then responded and told me they would have my keyboard and/or entire device replaced promptly and that he would contact me within the next 2 business days to follow up. A week later I was contacted by "Manager #3" - Carolyn, who left a message telling me that my replacement keyboard had arrived. When i returned Carolyn's call she was not available - I then asked to have her contact me and that I would like the keyboard sent to my home. Multiple days passed where I did not hear back from Carolyn, Allan, or Shiela - when I called yet again to see what the status was of my replacement keybaord , I was informed that it had been mailed out to an address that is not mine. Manager #3 - Carolyn then apologized - offered a complete device replacement - and assured prompt follow-up...........3 more have passed. Went to this best buy to get a screen protector put on.. .The geek squad clerk was very friendly but the geek squad did not do the screen protection installation...? huh weird because your website says its a geek squad service. He told me lets take it too "so & so" she is the only one here good at it. Took about 45 minutes. I left and came back because there was about 1,000,000 bubbles and my girlfriend hated it. After waiting another 10 minutes in line, they told me they would put another screen protector on it. After about another 10 minutes the woman who originally put it on told me the computer said 2 are in stock in the store.. But they could not find them. After watching about 4 different employees go the screen protector isle and check i was told that they are out and they will have to order me one. I said bullshit walked back to the screen protectors looked behind the screen protectors next to the empty slot.. and low and behold there it was... I walked it up to the counter and she said "Where did you find that????" In the store i said....So then another guy "Mobile Manager" put the replacement screen protector on. Keep in mind i was told by the first geek squad dude that there was only one person in the store who could do it...The woman who originally did it...This time It took only 15 minutes. NO APOLOGY. NO REFUND . THE MOBILE MANAGER DID NOT EVEN SAY A WORD.... AVOID...
