If I could give this place a 0*, I would. Decided to try the location next to my workplace today for my lunch break. The address to this establishment is the number after my place of work on the same road name. The website would result in an 'error 404' when attempting to order pick up at the D'Angelo's location that I can see from my office window. Due to being unable to place an order for pickup online; I opted to pay the $4.99 delivery fee to have delivered down the road to my office. Left instructions to leave the order on the delivery table directly out front of the office entrance with everything clearly marked. I then received a notification that my order was delivered almost 10 minutes later than expected - I looked at the delivery table out front of the office building; no order was delivered and I am out $30 for 2 sandwiches. The website kept prompting a review before I even got my order 'delivered' and never received.
Called the store location to get a status check on my order after it was marked delivered and not delivered to the proper location with clear instructions, the employee barely picked up the phone before throwing me on hold. Once taken off an elongated hold I was hung up on and upon calling back and being placed on hold again it had been explained to me that the 'deliveries are through doordash, so there is nothing we can do on our end. Would you like me to get my manager?' and when I responded with 'yes please', the employee I was speaking with told me 'the manager is busy right now so she is unavailable'. I asked the employee to request she reconsider as this is my first time trying to order through this location. I'm not normally a "Karen" but have had a poor experience every step of the way and if this were a positive experience, I would have been a frequent repeat customer. As someone who works in customer service and has a history working in the service industry, extremely poor experience all around. Would not consider...
Read moreI come in here to buy a sandwich. Nothing elaborate, a turkey sandwich with provolone, lettuce, tomoto, mayo/mustard, and cucumbers. What I get is a sandwich with no lettuce, no may/mustard, no tomato. How hard is it to make a simple sandwich?
The worst part is the people at the register think its funny and so does the young 'cook' assembling things. As in they all make a joke of it. They were nice people but it really isn't funny to do such a bad job. This pretty consistently has happened to me going to D'angelos. Frankly after being a patron for 30 years I've given up on D'angelos and will never go to another one again.
This chain has not improved at all over the years, and their prices are outrageous and not competitive compares to the many other options available today in terms of sandwich shops.
They need to just go out of business along with Papa Ginos (same company). What a waste of an old New England company due to bad corporate structure and...
Read moreI work in Manchester and this is my favorite spot to get lunch.
The sandwiches themselves are always delicious, I especially like the Korean BBQ and the Thanksgiving Toasted. Both good enough to keep me coming back regularly. The sandwiches are always grilled properly and delicious when warm. The option to add grilled onions to everything is my personal favorite feature.
In terms of service, I've always had very good experiences with the staff. I usually order online, in which case, my food is almost always ready when I get there.
Keep in mind that they can get really busy around 12-12:30, but despite that, 9.5 out of 10 times, my sandwich is ready for me when I get there.
Definitely a great lunch spot if you're in the area. I personally would also recommend ordering online and arriving when they tell you it'll be done, it's a great way to save some time on a timed...
