This is the first time that I've been to a 99 Restaurant. I was impressed. They have a very big menu, a lot of good food and drinks to choose from. Jacob was my waiter, and he was great! He was very relaxed. He was very friendly and accommodating to everything I ask for. The first thing that comes to your table is a bowl of popcorn! I thought that was great! Light and crunchy, not filling- like bread. I brought some of that back to my hotel for a snack. I decided on one of their 9.99 dinners, and I upgraded it with their $4.49 deal. That is when you can add either a salad or a cup of soup, and a dessert to any entree. So I added a cup of seafood chowder and a dessert. The cup of soup was a decent sized bowl, and it was so filling that I saved half of it for later. The 9.99 on trade deal was the size of a dinner entree. I got the chicken fried chicken entree, and it came with two sides. I had the corn and mashed potatoes, both were delicious. It also came with cranberry sauce on the side - for the chicken, and one of their honey biscuits. Will suffice it to say, I could only eat half of this meal. I ended up taking home that leftover soup, the whole dessert, that great-looking biscuit, and and half of the entree! So I have at least one more meal to finish! I'm a flight attendant, so there are a lot of times when I don't have time to go out. Having this wrapped up for tomorrow will be great! One of the managers also came by and checked on me during my meal, he was very friendly as well. The hostess was friendly too. Apparently everybody there is friendly! The way it should be! So I really appreciated that. I'm sure I will go back to this location in Manchester again, and I'll try other ones too. I'm from Texas, so I've never even heard of...
Read moreBefore giving a review of a restaurant, I like to try them a few times. In this case I have been to this 99's many times before and it seems like the value is going down.
Myself, my mother and my 2 young children went to get a late lunch/early dinner. When we walked in it sounded very quiet and did not look that busy. The hostess chose to seat us in the bar area, which in my opinion we should have been asked since I have my 2 young children. I asked if there was a chance we could sit somewhere else for that reason and she said yes I have to clear a table off for you. While waiting for her to return, I noticed entire sections with open clean tables but I figured because of staffing they might only have certain sections open. That unfortunately was not the case as every table right next to the kitchen was being filled right on top of the next guest with multiple waitstaff working that one area. A little space would have been nice.
The waiter we had seemed very rushed and didn't allow for us to ask any questions about the new menu changes. I had to force my questions in before he left the table which was a little discouraging.
For the food it seemed to take a little while to get for not being very busy and us not being seated that far from the kitchen. Mac and cheese for both kids and a salad for both my mom and I.
We also ordered a to go order for my wife which we got charged a packing fee for. Never heard of this before and was surprised especially since I had to pack any leftovers we had ourselves.
We will probably wait a little while before we try the 99's again as this wasn't the firsjit time we had service or...
Read moreDear 99 Restaurant on South Willow Street in Manchester, NH… I just wanted to thank you so much for the service you provided early Tuesday evening on 7/22/25! My husband and I called in for a takeout order for two entrees and an app. We waited patiently for someone to pick up to place the to go order, only to be hung up on when someone finally picked up the phone. We thought in good faith this was an error so we called back only to be hung up on again! We tried a third time and you guessed it… As soon as the phone was picked up, your employee hung up again without saying a word. We even drove to the restaurant expecting the parking lot to be full. Obviously you must have been extremely busy seeing how you couldn’t take to go orders or even answer so we could place our name on the call ahead seating list, but the parking lot wasn’t even half full. We decided to consider this a red flag that we shouldn’t give you our business. We decided to go to another establishment (Giorgio’s) that was very busy and greeted us with open arms and friendly service. Our experience was amazing and our dinner was fabulous! So again, thank you! If it wasn’t for your incompetent and inconsiderate employees who don’t even have the proper etiquette to know how to answer a phone, we never would have gone to Giorgio’s! We really appreciate that and look forward to many more dining...
