We were up around Manchester this afternoon, so we decided to eat lunch at Ducks Trolley. Like usual, I am so hungry 😋 I could eat a horse. So I wanted something hot, and filling. Kitty and I decided on Hamburger Steak and gravy. I had French fries with mine and she had fried okra with hers. We both enjoyed their famous cole slaw. Very tasty, and truly compliments the meal. They serve you a large piece of Texas toast with the plate. We enjoyed their iced tea & Lemonade, mixed together. Boy, it was so refreshing, after walking in the hot sun. We topped off our meal, with a delicious 😋 fried 🍎pie and vanilla ice cream. We got our food lickety split, without hesitation. The atmosphere is homey, the ladies behind the counter are as pleasant as could be. The prices are reasonable, and the variety and selection of meals are Southern delights. It's hard to decide what you want. You may just be in the mood for a 🍔 or 🌭 or chicken sandwich, fish plate, fries, Brunswick stew, salad, or a hot plate meal, just to name a few. They have alot to choose from, and you can swap items for other sides. They even carry Jumbo drinks, which is hard to come by. Refills are free, so fill it up again, and take it with you. You may want to dine outside, and with a nice breeze, why not? Customers, have lived there for years. People passing through town, ask about Ducks, and they really enjoy their selves. Great staff always friendly and welcoming. Just a quaint little town, everyone there is so kind. We always have a good time at blessed day 🙌 at Ducks. A wonderful little restaurant, great service , highly respected, just a pinch off the map, but well worth the trip. Even if you are just going through Warm Spring's, downtown Main Street, just turn right at the stopsign, and two miles up the road, two lights, turn left on Main street, go down where 2nd Street 2nd Avenue touch, and there sitting right on corner is good ole' Ducks Trolley. Enjoy, take your friends and family. No fuss, no muss. Just toss your plate in the trash and keep moving. Remember, leave the ladies a good tip, they deserve it. See you there 👍...
Read moreThe road stretched out before us, winding through the heart of Manchester, GA—a town that time forgot, where the whispers of history lingered in the air. Population? A modest 3,500 souls. But within these unassuming streets lay a treasure—a burger joint that defied expectations.
Duck’s Trolley—the name alone conjured images of neon signs, sizzling griddles, and the promise of unpretentious bliss. And let me tell you, my friends, it did not disappoint.
I ordered the half-pound burger—a glorious creation that arrived on a humble plate. The bun, toasted to perfection, cradled a juicy patty. Each bite was an ode to simplicity—an affirmation that sometimes, all you need is a damn good burger.
My son, ever the adventurer, opted for the catfish plate. Crispy, golden fillets lay atop a bed of fries and cold slaw. He did't care for the sweet slaw. He devoured it with the gusto of a pirate plundering treasure. And let me tell you, that catfish was as filling as he had hoped.
But here’s the kicker—the jug of lemonade. Not some fancy artisanal concoction, mind you. No, this was the real deal—ice-cold, tangy, and poured straight from the jug. It tasted like summer afternoons and front porch swings. I sipped, and suddenly, the world made sense.
Duck’s Trolley isn’t about frills or Michelin stars. It’s about honest food, shared laughter, and the warmth of a community. The prices? More than fair. The vibe? Pure Americana. And during the day, when the sun hangs high, this is the place to be.
So, raise your burger, salute the catfish, and clink your lemonade jug. Here’s to you, Duck’s Trolley—a beacon in the heart of a little town, where legends are made one bite at a time.

Read moreI have been to Ducks Trolley several times before, and really liked it. Unfortunately, this time, I was really disappointed. The last time I was there, I got the cubed steak dinner, and loved it. It was freshly made, seasoned well, and the gravy with sauteed onions was perfect. Today, I ordered it again, because I enjoyed it so much last time. Unfortunately, they changed the product. I should have not even accepted the plate, and just asked for a refund, because the meat was so obviously the cheaply made, frozen stamped out patty that you can find in the school lunch cafeteria, or, even worse, one of those freezer-burned cases that can be included in the meat department of a cheap grocery store as a "pick five". The gravy was flavorless, and completely devoid of onions, and was obviously poured straight out of a generic can. The only thing that keeps me from giving this visit a 1star rating is the fact that the French fries and the Cole slaw were pretty good, and the girl at the counter was polite. All in all, a pretty disappointing dinner. I would have been better off going...
