This is a one of a kind restaurant! Blast from the past and future. Nostalgic decor and modern payment system. I L💛VE their french toast, dry! I always get butter on the side when I order food anywhere, it’s just my preference. This menu item comes with butter and powdered sugar. This is my second visit and it was just as delicious as the first time. I was so excited when my dear husband suggested that I take the kids out for breakfast. I haven’t been able to get there with my previous work schedule since they only operate during breakfast and lunch. FYI, others in my group ordered french toast regular, silver dollar pancakes (this is a single stack special request) fruit cup, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs. Kid chocolate milk and medium orange juice (there is no small OJ?!, I would have preferred to have half of the medium size serving)
There is what appears to be a new brightly colored sign and fresh window decorative hand painted advertising. Parking is a little bit of an adventure if you aren’t familiar with the area. There are several dining rooms to choose from and spacious seating options. Barbelle (sp?) was our waitress. She was very pleasant and busy. The busboy was super sweet answering questions too. Another girl directed me to the checkout because it’s not at the entrance. A good idea as it’s a bit narrow and would block inflow of patrons. The place was pretty full considering MD is still coming out of Covid disruption. Service was surprisingly faster than expected considering the number of patrons in the house. So glad the staff showed up when much of the country would rather stay home and collect a govt. check.
My only reason for not five stars is the main entrance area. There is a small sign that reads please seat yourself but, it’s almost lost amongst the messy storage area when you first walk in. I thought it was a temporary storage area, perhaps in the process of rearranging but, it was about the same as my previous visit more than two years ago. Don’t let the entrance disturb you too much though. I’ll...

Been passing this spot for twenty-five years and it finally got the best of me. The bride and I had to check it our for breakfast. Lots of history here. The building has been an assortment of businesses and you can tell. Hotel, gas station, restaurant, and some I don't recall. Nothing modern, just old fashioned surrondings with polite old fashioned service. Our server was a young man who was incredibly poltie and friendly. He has worked there for SIX years ! This was a Friday morning and the establishment was not that crowded but it did appear to be regulars. We had breakfast food - the bride had Mexican corned beef hash and I had a more standard breakfast. Everything was on time and done well. The coffee was delicious and my wife ordered hot tea which usually comes wth a sigh... but our server was happy to bring refills. Was it amazing? No.. it was breakfast food but they has some really interesting things on the menu I would try when we go back... and we...
Read moreGrateful to have Dutch Corner right in my back yard! This is the kind of place where you feel right at home the minute you walk in. Yesterday I took my youngest son to have breakfast with me before taking him to school. We sat at the front “bar / counter” and took it all in. The Wonderful smells coming from the kitchen, engaging with the team and customers as they walked in to enjoy their own meals! Loved it and plan to make it a tradition with my sons to enjoy an early breakfast with them on a regular basis at Dutch before school!
If you have not been to Dutch Corner and want to enjoy some great comfort food in a comfortable setting with tons of history, you need to stop by and enjoy a meal...
