United States Postal Service — Local services in Manchester

I had a post office box here for 8 years and I must say that it is one of the better post offices that I have ever used, and I have used the fair number of them. The employees are very helpful especially if you make any inquiries. For example, once I left my key and my PO box and a kind neighbor removed it from the PO box and gave it to the employees. I realized where I had left my keys and stop by a day later and sure enough, the employees returned my keys to me. That won't happen it just any postal office! Because it is a small post office, they usually only have one worker at the front desk and so service can be slow, that's why they did not get a five-star rating. Some of the people there are longer term and because Manchester is a small town they will recognize you by face if you are a regular there, again highly unusual at most...

I was not familiar with this PO, but stopped in to ask for a particular stamp. They didn't have that stamp, and explained why. The young woman behind the counter was so helpful, I asked if she had anyone in the back who might know how to turn off my blinkers on the car. She asked, and a nice looking man, named Andre, came out with a big smile on his face, saying "Let's see what we can do for you!" My Hero took care of the problem quickly and easily, and he couldn't have been more kind. If everyone treated people the way these folks treated me, it would be a really nice world! Thank you Andre. We lived in the town of Manchester for over 20 years, having a PO box we frequented the post office sometimes daily. I raised my son in that town, over the years we got to know the friendly faces there & they us. What incredible customer service, they are kind, efficient, remember everyone & address them by name. These folks were some of our family's biggest cheerleaders & even chipped in to gift my son both birthday & graduation cards...this just doesn't happen now a days!
