I don't want to be completely negative towards this dealership as nothing was mis-represented but want my point known on the issues so that it doesn't happen further. Today was my first visit ever to their MD location (I have never been to their PA one) unfortunately for them it will be my last to either. They had the right car on the lot for me/Their numbers were where both of us needed to be and we would have finalized paperwork tomorrow had they listened to me before I drove their vehicle. They wanted to appraise my trade while driving theirs to save time which I was ok with, I even pointed out certain areas on my car that needed attention in current condition because I'm not the type to hide anything, but I had made it very clear for them to not to drive my car without me in the car (just like they wouldn't expect me to testdrive their car by myself) The reason could have been for whatever, which I shouldn't have to explain myself to them why! I handed over my key to the manager that i thought was looking it over with trust and confidence. When the salesperson and I arrived back from the test drive in their car, we noticed that my car was on the other side of the lot. (Someone had drove it without me!) On top of it, when I arrived originally I parked it facing the direction outward under a well lit area. When I left, they had parked it in the dark in the opposite direction to exit and made it difficult for me to leave their business in a tight area. I did not feel like we should move forward with the deal because of simple things gone wrong on their end. I called the salesperson within an hour of getting home to let him know it was nothing he did, but explained my reason of why I wouldn't be back to sign paperwork tomorrow. I had been making dinner and my phone rang not once, not twice, but three times when finally I picked up. It was his manager and I had stated I was in the middle of dinner with my lady. He completely ignored it saying "oh, thats alright!" Didn't bother to ask about calling back and carried on his conversation with how he didn't get the message about driving my car because he wasn't there at the time it was said. Then he proceeded to ask if 1500 or 2 thousand dollars would change my mind about coming back tomorrow. I told him absolutely not!...Price wasn't the issue?...So that gesture was out of place! I told him that we will be purchasing from a competitor of theirs that we had visited on Saturday, and he felt lost for words. This dealership really needs to focus on some key details about caring for the customer to stop missing out on...

Read moreI found one of their cars online and drove 1.5 hours to see it. I liked the car and the salesman gave me a reasonable offer. I did not commit to it that day because I did not yet have an in-state license (the out-of-state license would have complicated the sale and increased the final price) and didn't know how long that process would take, and wanted to consider options.
The next day I was able to get my license early, so I contacted the sales team and they confirmed the car was still available. I confirmed I wanted to buy it and could come in that day, within the next two hours, and they confirmed they'd be open in the afternoon. (This was a little before noon, and that was the last message from them that day.)
So my wife and I drove to the dealership. But when we arrived, we were told the car had just sold that morning--this despite being told fairly late in the morning that it was available, and confirming that we intended to buy it and would be there soon. Needless to say, we were disappointed to have wasted much of our afternoon for something that could have easily been avoided or worked out with the most basic attentiveness to potential customers they were in communication with that same morning.
To make matters worse, the sales manager's "explanation" consisted of making excuses that he and his staff were just too busy all day to pay follow-up attention to any messages and that's just how it is. No understanding or acknowledgement that maybe, just maybe, his team should have responded to, or even paid any attention to, customer messages. (They were very eager to communicate until I confirmed I would purchase, then zero. Did they just want me to come all the way to the lot so they could try to sell me something else?)
I don't blame the sales team for selling the car, and I don't think they were dishonest. But I do think their customer support was poor and they refused to even acknowledge they could have even done better, instead settling for "that's just the way it is some days." If they don't think there was a problem then why would they do any different next time? (The salesman--not the sales manager--did call back days later and seemed more apologetic then.)
This dealer seems to have okay vehicles and prices, but based on my experience, I will not buy from them or...
