My family and I are authentic mexican food connoisseurs 🤭 we do a lot of road tripping across the US looking for REAL mexican food at our stops. We came across this place while traveling on our way to Nashville.
The place was empty, shame too bc the food was good. The owner was very nice and attentive, spoke both Spanish and English very well.
My toddlers enjoyed the traditional chicken tacos, you know toddlers are super picky and they both enjoyed the flavor (seasoning)
My husband had traditional tacos as well, he ordered the lengua (beef tongue) and said the flavor was on point.
Ordered the "aguas" both horchata (cinnamon rice water) and Jamaica (hibiscus) both were extremely sweet, too sweet for my liking but that's personal preference.
Was a bit disappointed that they didn't have much options for vegetarians, it's 2020, come on step it up! However I ordered the beans and chips, the beans were piping hot and runny, but as I let them cool they thickened and the flavor was good, so can't complain.
The hot sauces were delicious!
The buffet was closed and the owner said he wouldn't be reopening it until July 2020.
The place could use a mini face lift/sprucing up to give it a cleaner aesthetic.
Overall a great gastronomic experience with an affordable price tag, will be back whenever passing...
Read moreMexican restaurant with a Mexican buffet. This restaurant does have a menu but for this review we ordered the buffet. Pros The price was very reasonable. The service was fantastic. The seating was acceptable. Guacamole, queso, chicken burrito, and quesadillas on the buffet was good.
Cons The buffet had a lot of specialty items. Some of the items were very questionable such as cooked fish heads. The buffet also contain whole shrimp. We're not talking about regular shrimp tails this was the entire shrimp with the head. Some of the shrimp was very tough others was very mushy. Some of the food was not hot. The buffet had fried mushrooms that were ice cold. This could be very dangerous with seafood such as shrimp. The food was not labeled and some items you did not know what it was.
Just to some it all up the restaurant was okay but not enough to make me come back. This could be because they just opened. My recommendation would be to cut back on the specialty items and go with the basics. Like enchiladas, chile rellenos, tacos. I do recommend they add heat lamps above the buffet to keep the food warm. Now we did not order from the menu so we have no...
Read moreWorst Resturant I have ever been too. I ordered 8street tacos and 3 burria tacos. Ordered at 5:52pm. There are only 3 customers in the restaurant and he says it’s going to be another few mins. Currently it’s 6:20pm!!
Service is horrible, guy pretended his English was bad but he was taking orders from people who came for dine-in!!!
Shame for this to originally been a call in order and still never received my food!!!! Waste of time and gas!!!
Owner responds but doesn’t remember asking me, do I want it or no? Those were the exact words. No one is expected to wait for good then be asked if they still want it. It was for god to sell those tacos if you ask the customers if they still want the food.
Sir just do better is the correct response... not blaming the customer for leaving because your...
