Hong Kong Buffet — Restaurant in Manchester

ok soo... i know this only chinese buffet in machester but....this place gets worse everytime i go here, its chum. But went bc that's what my son wanted, been wanting for awhile, and did good at soccer today so we went. It was worse than usual and greeted by a very smug and short (but flirting with a muscle bound guy). so whatever right.... well go to bathroom and its kinda nasty. walk out and a fan going with 3 inches of funk on it blowing everywhere. so im done w food and go get ice cream , which water was not running on the fountain to clean ice cream scoops, never ia but ok(how can u mess that up) get back to table and on 3rd bite my wife yells "STOP!" Then pulls a hair from ice cream outta my mouth. i spit everything out my mouth, grab the hair, and wait for someone that works there to walk by. i say "ummm here you go, i found a hair in my ice cream " he immediately looks at my wife"its s blonde hair" he says "oh well its not us, none of us has blonde hair" and walks away like imma eat this still. so im mad, go check out and lady that i think runs the place and a cook from the back talking in Mandarin to each other and never ask me how was it or if i enjoyed my meal. i tell them "yall are so nice here" she like " oh yea really?" im like "no, not at all" shes asked if it was good. i said "no it was not good, and i found a hair in my ice cream, and yall just over here talking like im not here" snatch my money and leave with no response. ill be going to boro for Chinese...

If these people are paying a dime to their chicken supplier they're getting ripped off. This place could easily put themselves into a five star status for everyone. ALL the chicken was tough as rubber and stringy, inedible. And all the sauces had a bizarre kinda peppery yet chemical taste. Mac and cheese haha, joke. Mac was there with a watery substance, could've easily just used real shredded cheese mixed right in to thicken and flavor it up. Pork was cooked and flavor right, to add more proof that the chicken they buy is so cheap it's impossible to cook and season to make pleasant. One positive, they did have the absolute best spring rolls I've ever eaten. The steamed dumplings were cooked perfect but they absolutely ruined them by sitting them out to soak in a pan filled with an inch of water to swim in. With a little effort this place could be made into a hot spot. But from the rest of the reviews going back what looks like about 8 years they apparently don't care about the taste and quality of their own food. Which for most owners would be paramount. Instead I guess they'd rather eek out a minimal living than blow up and get busy and make a ton of money. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I mean really what Asians haven't got General TSOs chicken perfected at least? I finally met some today. Just for perspective, I are right at opening when the food should've been the greatest best tasting food of an entire day. Can only imagine how it declines...

The food is subpar. I have definitely had way better. The reason I am giving one star is for customer service. We just left there for a family lunch and my three year oldson only ate one bite off of a sugar coated cornbread biscuit. Now please keep in mind that I was fully prepared to pay the $5.99 they were charging for a kids plate but I figured what could it hurt to ask if they could take his price off since he didn't eat. When I asked the woman she started yelling at me in half Chinese half English broken language and when she realized I was talking about my kid not eating and not me she begrudgingly took the price down to $3.99 all the while still yelling at me. She was so angry she forgot to give me my change out $25 and I had to ask for it. Now here's the kicker " I would have paid anyway!" She didn't have to make a huge screen in her own restaurant. Then she proceeds to tell me that "next time don't give your kid a plate if they are not going to eat" I promptly told her that we would never be back. This was a "let's give this restaurant a second try for my family after having some pretty horrible food there a few months back" well we are done. I don't know why people around here think the food is so good,...
