Waffle House — Restaurant in Manchester

I’m not gonna even lie this franchise almost needs to be stopped. The food is less subpar. The atmosphere is not welcoming at all and yes, I get it truck stop or a road trip type of stop where you grab food you know, but you could have at least some decorum about the place in this franchise has none and they have pictures on the wall from I want to say the early 1900s of one single black person, shaking hands with a white person during the slavery times right and then in the actual facility, they had one black person that was not really oriented to the facility and looked uncomfortable as if they did not want to be there as well The pictures and stuff on the wall was just a huge red flag to me like saying we don’t quite like you people, but we’ll serve you people and we got one of your people to make you people feel better about us not liking you and not really wanting you guys in our environment. That’s the vibe that these waffle House franchise gives as a POC I just absolutely would not ever again and I only came here because I mistakenly got this confused with Roscoe‘s chicken and waffles if I’m being 100% honest waffle house in Roscoes chicken and waffles are two different places just in case anybody was under the same...

stopped in at this location last week.. everything was great. great service, good food, pleasant atmosphere. stopped in again this week... totally different. different people working behind the counter( same cook,,, good cook), TERRIBLE SERVICE. I can't rate the food or coffee,,, I never received any.

we ( my grandson and myself) walked in and sat down. the waitress came over and asked what would would like to drink,,,, Coffee extra cream. I told her my order,,, 2 egg breakfast sausage, toast, grits, eggs over easy. she left. NEVER CAME BACK to my booth. after about 7 to 10 minutes of sitting there with no coffee, I gathered my stuff and left. I can be ignored at home for FREE. I don't expect the food to be instant but last week when I visited this waffle house, the waitress brought my coffee within a few minutes. the one this week was in no rush to get my coffee. as I was leaving the waitress still was NOT working on getting a cup of coffee to my booth. keep the cook,,, FIRE the rest of the staff. you have 5 waitresses and 1 cook. the restaurant was NOT busy. if you feel like eating at Waffle House I suggest trying the one on the other side of town. you might get lucky enough to get a cup of coffee there.(...

so here are a few reasons why I would not recommend eating there 1. The place is infested with bugs 2. Staff is so under paid it’s not even worth all the time you put into the place 3. A lot of the food is not good I can’t even eat eggs there anymore because somehow bleach got into my eggs and I had a really bad allergic reaction and they also taste like soap all the time 4. Dishes are most of the time not cleaned properly 5. Some of the staff is extremely rude 6. They don’t give volunteer firefighters discounts because they are not in uniform what do they expect us to wear our turn out gear we risk our lives as much as a paid firefighter does and y’all only care about a damn uniform 7. Employees go on way to many smoke breaks making the people who don’t smoke do their stuff plus their own which is not fair at all These are just a couple of reasons I’ll not be going back to that Waffle...
