We called ahead as a party of 7 is quite the crowd for a small place, especially on Father’s Day. We arrive at the 45 minute wait time we were given. Although we still had to wait an additional 25 or so minutes for a table, we understood and were able to sit at a picnic table outside. Ordered drinks and breakfast about 10 minutes after being sat down. Then it was a ghost town, nobody ever checked on us. When we did ask for refills we got eyes rolled and heavy sighs. 10 minuted later we got our drinks. It took our food about an hour to reach us, STILL we were being patient. Even with 5 small kids in tow who were hungry and cranky. We got our food, my lobster Benedict’s English muffins were so hard it could’ve been used as a weapon..when we were asked how it was I wasn’t given 10 seconds to respond as the rude waitress began helping someone else without listening. We addressed her about it because by this point (2 hours after entering the establishment) my patience was wearing thin, she YELLED at us in front of other guests, said “she’s too busy” and then spoke badly about us to the table behind us. Worst part: the manager didn’t hold anybody accountable. She told us that these girls are some of the best she’s ever worked with, never offered to replace my meal just give me new English muffins (so I can eat cold eggs and lobster?) and then went inside, huddled together in a group and disclaimed NOTHING IS TO BE TAKEN OFF THAT CHECK. We didn’t want anything taken off, just to be treated like paying customers. I work in hospitality and I’ve NEVER seen anything like this. I paid $70 for breakfast and didn’t even eat breakfast. And two hours of my life I’ll never get...

I got their Novi Benedict - poached egg, carnitas and avocado on English muffin, hollandaise. This is a little messy right now, as I kinda drowned it in extra hollandaise 😂, and forgot to take a picture pre-digging in.
Really delicious. I'll definitely be going back. The staff are really friendly, and the patrons are nice too.
Update probably a year later now: Still excellent service. I got the corned beef hash Bennie this time. The corned beef hash is fresh and it was griddled perfectly - crispy outside, soft inside. Their hollandaise is delicious (it's a standard hollandaise tasting as you'd expect, without unusual flavors). Coffee kept flowing, patrons nice, staff very friendly.
Update 2 some months later: Went with my wife and friends this time. Two of us got the Novi Benedict another the chorizo scramble and my soft got a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit, the table shared two cinnamon rolls. Egg sandwich and scramble were great. The Benedicts came with the poached eggs having fully set yolks (so, not very good for a Benedict.). We brought it up with the wait staff, and they were really sorry for it. We just asked for them to provide two more each of poached eggs, and some additional hollandaise, and it came out just a few minutes later! Great recovery for kitchen things that just happen. All were happy.
If you like diners, definitely come...
Read moreI have been wanting to eat here forever. My husband always takes me to the “Purple Bird.” I am not a huge fan of it, but he thinks the prices are good. Anyway, I begged him to try it and we did so today.
This place is amazing! All the servers work together so that your meal service experience is great. Take an order? One server. Bring you your check? Another server. This is the BEST! Not only was our order taken promptly, but the check was on placed on our table (by one server) as soon as our plates were cleared (by another server). There were 3 servers and all 3 were so friendly! I don’t know why more places don’t do this. This was our first time experiencing it done this way and let me tell you, it changes the whole dining experience.
The food was great and the portions were large. 2 scrambled eggs looked like 4 and I was given 3 sausages, home (pan) fries, and I ordered a blueberry muffin with mine for $1.50 more than my husband’s same meal but with toast. The muffins and pastries are homemade. My muffin was absolutely delicious! It was so delicious that my husband begged me for a half (I gave in; please don’t judge me!). My meal for the 2 eggs, 3 sausages, home (pan) fries, and a muffin cost $10.00! My husband’s meal which was the same but with toast was $8.50! And the cafe was spotless.
I will absolutely eat here again. The atmosphere, the food, the servers, etc. made it a delightful experience. This is our new go to...
