Nuevo Vallarta Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Manchester

I’ve always come to this place at least once a week as I was addicted to their food and amazing drinks. I’ve been super busy with work and unfortunately don’t have time to sit and eat but I couldn’t miss out on my weekly splurge and have been ordering take out.

Every single time I’ve ordered take out for the last 3 weeks it’s been horrible. First time the lady repeated what I ordered on the phone and I had picked it up. I didn’t think the check the food till I got home as I’ve never had issues and they unfortunately gave me the wrong food. I called to ask for exchange on my food and they told me I’d have to pay the difference as I was the one at fault for there mistakes and that I should have known what I got cause the order taker repeated my meal. I always get the SAME EXACT MEAL EVERY TIME, this was a mistake on there part and to have me drive all the way back 20 mins on your mistake and still make me pay the 3$ difference is poor customer service.

The last two weeks haven’t gotten better as I’ve gotten my correct food order but don’t understand why both times my food is basically coming home with me still alive. I share my food with my two year old daughter, this is so unacceptable especially with the prices and tips I have to pay. Ok, so the food was great...but the service left a lot to be desired, everyone was pleasent but you can be nice and still not good at your job. We called a day a head of time to reserve a table for 8 at 7pm...we finally got sat at 8...literally an hour later and after everyone (larger parties included) that just walked in got sat. While waiting we request chips and guacamole bc we were all starving. Manger said he would comp the guacamole...never got comped. Waitress, while she was very nice, took food orders first, then after 10 min finally brought waters and took our drink orders. Which took another 10-15 minutes. The hostess also, seemed to have the “if I don’t make eye contact, I can’t see you and therefor your not there,” mentality. She came to the hostess station multiple times and completely ignored the fact I was standing there, not even a greeting and be with you in a moment. I had to get her attention...with her standing directly in front of me...then when we finally started to question her after 20 minutes past 7 on how long it was going to be she referenced that she had all these others reservations to seat first...ummmm, no that’s the list of people who just walked in and put their names to wait in line...you’re not going to tell me that everyone else called in prior to 11:30am the day before to reserve a table. Possibly the worst service.

I'm a regular. I've dined in at least 20 times, and considering I love fajitas and their molcajete meals, dining in is the best way to eat the food. The food I like comes sizzling! In all those times, I can't say I've had great, even good service, a single time. Average at best. The back of house does phenomenal. Food is fresh, well flavored, and generous portions.

Five stars for the food, 1 star for the service. Averages to 3 stars. It's not uncommon for my drinks to run out and never get filled, and to never be offered a second cocktail or even dessert. One time my party actually got sat and brought chips, and after 20 minutes of seeing everyone around us get served, nobody had even offered us water to wash down the chips. This review is long overdue...

My family continues to suffer through the poor service because the food is that good... I just feel that the managers need to know they really need to care about service too (for the record, the 1 time I sat at the bar, service was actually good! Obviously due to the virus, even that is't an option.) My sentiment is reflected equally on Puerto Vallarta down the road - same management, similar menu, also excellent food and also...
