We have been ordering at this restaurant for year's however; recently, their attention to detail has declined substantially.
I can name multiple occasions where we have encountered issues.
Issue 1: We placed an order for a large pizza which came in about an hour which is meh but okay. When my grandfather bit into the pizza, he almost choked on a piece of hard plastic that somehow found it's way into the pizza. I called and talked to their management who refused to stand by the order.
Issue 2: On at least 4 or 5 different occasions over the years, they have forgotten our drinks. On numerous occasions have I called in and was offered the opportunity to just apply the value at the next order. Every time I would call in and mention this, they would act lost and I wouldn't end up getting the credit.
Issue 3: I ordered a pizza and not only did it take almost 2 hours to get it delivered, it was delivered cold and with the wrong drink. I called back the same night and was told I would get a call back from their manager. I never got a call back. I followed up the following day and was told their manager would call me back. No call back again. I called again today, and the manager made some convoluted excuse about how the pricing scheme of the "delivery" industry doesn't allow the overhead for them to discount orders or stand behind their poor service. They also continued to make excuses about why the order was late. I understand there is a reason but not offering a refund or discount is unacceptable.
To the owner of Pizza Express 2: I currently do all the ordering for multiple different households. (my grandparents, parents, and my own) I currently average at least 5 orders a month. Read moreI ordered food from this place on a Saturday the food was amazing I couldn't complain about anyting so I decided I would take my family back for Sunday to go and have dinner there so I go there on Sunday I called 30 minutes ahead of time I end up waiting another 30 minutes when I'm there they left my food out on the grill waiting I asked them about my food and they proceeded to ignore me for another 20 minutes went by unfortunately I just asked if I could please just have my money back I would buy the chicken wrap and the french fries that are now cold that has been sitting out for an hour and forget about the steak and cheese they told me that the all sales are final even though they never started making any of my other food and I had to wait there for another additional 30 minutes why people ignored me and I asked several times nicely could I please have my money back and they continue to ignore me and yelled at me and said all sales are final so if I was to go O'Hare I would not ever go again unfortunately that was a very bad experience in the service was awful the person cooking the food was very dirty and not sanitary with what he was doing and the lady that was taking money and taking orders did not wear gloves or any protective gear while handling food after handling cash from customers I was very disgusted in just one of my money back I ended up not eating $40 worth of food and throwing it away thanks again I would not recommend anybody going here ever again to eat unfortunately I used to be a very good place but I'm not sure what's going on with management or the people that are working there but the food sucks and their attitude suck as well and it's a shame that used to be a very...
Read moreMy coworkers and I ordered a few subs and sides for lunch to be delivered. It took about an hour and fifteen minutes for the food to be delivered. When we searched through the order we found only five of the six items showed up. I looked at the receipt and found we had been charged for all six items. After waiting over an hour for the food to come I was no longer interested in getting my food. I drove to the restaurant, showed the receipt to the cashier and asked what happened. It seems they totally forgot the other item we had ordered from them. They asked if I wanted my order and I told them at this point I just want a refund. When I got back I found my coworkers had all eaten some of their food and then thrown out a least half of their subs because the food was “terrible” or “awful”. Apparently I got the best thing on the menu, nothing. What aggravates me the most is that it took me fifteen minutes to drive there, ask for a refund and drive back through multiple lights in slow weekend traffic.
