So, you shouldn't review every restaurant on the same scale. You wouldn't judge a deliciously greasy breakfast counter against Jean Georges in Manhattan. Keeping that in mind, Three Amigos gets 5 stars because it is excellent at being exactly what it is supposed to be. Three Amigos is a taqueria that does not fail to satisfy. You don't expect to walk in there and sit down for a lengthy dinner outing - you either take your food to go or stay at one of the plain but adequate booths or high top tables to scarf down your mound of awesome. The quantity of food for the price beats the chain restaurants - the guac is not extra. On top of that, the quality is better as well - the rubbery, flavorless, boring Chiptole burritos are rendered irrelevant, and you pay less for more! On top of all of this is the staff, which in my opinion put much more love and care into the "crafting" of a burrito than anyone else. These burritos are not just slapped together. Once all of your ingredients are chosen, even distribution throughout the burrito is ensured by their process. Then, the seam is quickly seared on the skillet to make sure it does not fall apart in your hands, plus it adds some very nice heat. These are the sort of small touches that really satisfy. On only one occasion did the burrito not come out with such a high level of precision, and that was because the employee was new and training. On the very next visit, the same employee was producing burritos to Three Amigos' high standards. I'm eating probably my 30th burrito as a type this. Support a local business and not a chain - go give Three Amigos a shot. I live close by and highly...
Read moreI amending my review from 5 stars 5 months ago to 2 stars. This place is starting to get bad, with their lack of caring and effort. The people are nice, don't get me wrong, but that love and care from a small town business is going away and resembling a less than experience I would get at Moes. They are becoming stingy with their salsa amounts, not giving me what I want, their chicken is dry as ever, they give a tiny scoop of rice, just to use it up, but the next customer later brings out a brand new pot. I have had this happen to me twice now, even saying to my SO that my burrito was bigger than his even with the same toppings. I keep going because I know they were good, and I am giving them chances to be like that again. But as a constant repeat customer, I want you to know your service and the lack of care is going downhill. Eventually, you are going to loose out on our 1-3x weekly business with tips we...
Read moreFood was good, tasty, cooking area was very clean, guys were quick in their cooking & knew what they were doing. Portion was large. Date & I ordered 1 Steak & Cchorizo fajita (3 small tortillas served warm) each. Came with fillings on the side: sour cream, pico de gallo, lettuce mix, fine shredded cheddar & delicious guacamole. A regular portion of yellow rice, beans (black or refried), and the largest portion was of the steak and chorizo which was sauteed in onion and green peppers (green peppers were nice and crunchy). Torilla chips w salsa which my date really liked. Leftovers were good for two more descent sized meals. We paid $30 bucks and got 4 meals out of it. Yea, bang for your buck. Plus, none of the food made us feel nasty afterwards (we generally eat clean & organic so greasy stuff dont sit well) Food was cooked rightvthere in front of you. Will go...
