I’ve passed by Villaggio a million times over the years, and finally decided to actually dine there. It doesn’t look like much from the outside, but inside the decor is fine. There are a few cliché fake vines and grapes, but that’s to be expected. We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Our server, Dominic came right over with some water. We ordered our first round of drinks: a grapefruit and a lemon drop martini. I think they needed a bit more alcohol but they were good. Appetizers were a bruschetta and a calamari. The calamari was crispy, and not overly battered. I really enjoyed the bruschetta, but we found really have done with one appetizer, portions were gigantic. Dinner was a veal parmigiana and a pollo toscana. My pollo toscana was creamy, and just the perfect amount of salty, but again, gigantic portions. Entreés also come with a salad. You can probably split it. It was a special occasion so we ordered a dessert martini each, pistachio and coconut, and a lemon tiramisu . The tiramisu was one of the best I have ever had. TLDR service was great, portions were gigantic, and food was delicious. I will definitely go back.

I've dined at Villaggio twice, and my husband has dined there four times, and each time, the food was outstanding. However, our most recent experience was quite disappointing and frustrating. We had a substantial amount of leftover Frutti Di Mare and a soup that we requested to be packed for takeout. Unfortunately, my request to pack the soup was ignored, which was particularly frustrating as I strongly dislike wasting food. To make matters worse, the shallow foam containers were used for the Frutti Di Mare, causing the contents to leak all over the car mat during the drive home. When we tried to remove the bag from the car, the bottom of the paper bag gave way, spilling the food onto our driveway. It’s common sense that food with a liquid component should be packed in a secure, sealable container to prevent such messes. This is the first time I've felt compelled to leave a negative review, but this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it necessary to share. I hope Villaggio can improve their food packaging and be more considerate in the future to prevent similar inconveniences for their customers.

I had been to Villaggio once before, about six weeks prior to this time. My server, Niki, remembered where I had sat, what I had ordered and how I preferred it cooked. Amazing! She and Maria were serving this time and Niki also was bartending and shared hosting with Maria. Somehow just the two of them were able to keep the full house running smoothly, professionally and graciously. I was the only solo diner in the dining area and all the other tables were what appeared to be families and younger and older couples. The environment reminds me of the old-style, comfortable neighborhood Italian restaurants that I frequented decades ago in Philadelphia, New York and Boston. Every table was occupied, but the noise level would easily allow a conversation. Nice place! The food: I had "Frutti di Mare" over linguine that included lobster, mussels, clams and scallops in a delicious broth/sauce. I had read about the coconut martini and Niki made one for me with a touch of dark chocolate. Dangerous!

Went went out to dinner with two other couples for a holiday celebration 12/7/24. Villaggio was very highly recommended and we wanted to try it since good Italian is hard to find. So we went in with high hopes. Parking is a little tight but we carpooled so it was fine. The restaurant is on the smaller side but very nice on the inside and comfortable. The staff was friendly at first and we were seated and got our drink and appetizer orders in very quickly which was nice. It is a very noisy place so table conversation beyond someone next to you or across the table was hard but we were making it work. The experience took a big turn however when the appetizers came out and the waiter spilled two of the three directly on the back of my shirt and jacket. He just lost control of the serving tray and dumped them, including calamari and sauce which were quite hot. The staff apologized and was quick to clean up the floor and area around us. I'm not sure why, but after that the attitude and service seemed to change. We asked for more napkins since I needed most of them to clean up but they never brought any and we ended up taking them from a nearby table. Water was very slow to get refilled and in general we felt a bit ostracized. Almost like they were embarrassed by their mistakeand just wanted us gone. At some a manager came over and offered to take the appetizers off the bill. But even that seemed a bit odd because he made a joke of it and said "the appetizers are on me" which I didn't find amusing. They also over charged for an extra glass of wine but fixed that when it was pointed out. Overall I thought the food was very good. I did need to clean my shirt and my jacket multiple times and thought they could have done more for what I had to deal with. Given the noise level, the incident, and more importantly the service after I can't recommend the Villagio. There are many other places to have dinner out with friends that will leave you happier with...

Finest Italian dining, heartfelt thank you.

On Saturday my daughter suggested we meet at Villaggio to celebrate a special occasion. We spent two wonderful hours enjoying the nicest dining experience we have had in many years.

Ambiance. The atmosphere is very upscale, yet warm and inviting. Our table was near the fireplace, immaculate white table cloth, flowers and a beautiful table setting. A true gem, I felt we were at a high end restaurant in Florence or Rome.

People. I never really thought about how the staff and owners are essential to the dining experience. From the moment we entered, the receptionist welcomed us kindly, taking us to our table. Our server was absolutely amazing. He was charming, very helpful, and extremely attentive to our needs. He made our dinner much nicer. Thank you.

Cuisine. Just writing, I am imagining the taste, the presentation. We highly recommend the calamari, lightly breaded, touch of spice. The marinara is a perfect compliment. My wife enjoyed Linguine con Gamberi with white wine sauce. Perfectly prepared, shrimp and scallops are delicious. My daughter’s dearest friend could not stop talking about the Gnocchi. For me, the homemade pasta made my dinner amazingly tasty.

Dessert. My wife and daughter love good Italian desserts. They truly enjoyed their Tiramisu and Bomba. My girls are the dessert experts, and they absolutely enjoyed and highly recommend their desserts. My daughter’s friend loved his cream brûlée. For me, the cheesecake drizzled with raspberry sauce and chocolate crust was perfect.

Final thoughts. The owners, Lexi and Christos, have created the most beautiful, and delicious dinning experience in New England. Christos is truly a master chef, whose talents I have never experienced before. Lexi, you made our family dinner one of the most memorable of our lives.

My sincerest appreciation and thank...

My husband and I were with a couple of friends and we had reservations for 4 last Saturday night at 730 to celebrate my friends birthday. I had tried takeout from there a few weeks before and I had the chicken masala and I was very pleased with it and telling my friend how good it was. So we planned reservations at the restaurant for her B-day. When we got there we went up to the check-in desk and there was a woman standing in front of the desk on the phone and there was a man standing just behind her. We thought we were waiting for her and we waited for 3 to 4 minutes, she walked away after getting off the phone, and then the man standing behind her asked if he could help us. The group of us were looking at each other like what. That's how we were greeted. Then he proceeded to tell us he has no idea when our table would be ready, the way it was said made us confused thinking that there was a mix up or something and we wouldn't get a table after we had reservations. We waited only a few minutes after our reservation time and they sat us. Which wasn't bad. We placed our order of drinks, and appetizer and our entree's which my friend and I were excited to have the chicken and veal masala. When we received the food it was very plain bland tasting it's like they forgot to put the masala in it or something. Both of us had to send the food back. We were very disappointed with the food. Our husband food was okay. It was so disappointing going to a higher end restaurant thinking the food would be great and it wasn't. I was more disappointed and embarrassed because we were treating my friend to a nice birthday dinner. I think it wouldn't have been so disappointing if I didn't try the food prior and it was just my...
