Buckin Bean Coffee — Restaurant in Mandan

Look I really wanted to love this and I will absolutely be back to try it again and I will edit my review then of if I have a better experience. I really want this place to succeed! We stopped for a coffee, 4 cars in the drive through ahead of us, not too bad. Took 22 minutes, which isn’t awful depending on what everyone ordered, but it isn’t quick. I got a 20 oz cold brew with cold foam and vanilla. They didn’t mix the drink at all so the syrup was layer at the bottom. When the young man working handed it over I asked if the had added cold foam because I didn’t see it. He responded that they added it, but it had been sitting so long that it had sunk down into the drink so it was in there…. he was polite but didn’t offered to fix it. To be fair the drink did change color so that I do know they added some cream to it for sure! It wouldn’t be be a big deal if it wasn’t 1.50 extra and a 20...

Wow! We’ll start there. Their breakfast burrito, tiny but mighty! BEST IN BISMARCK. Packed with flavor, I chose the bacon breakfast burrito that comes with cheese, egg, potato, and salsa if you would like. Let me just tell you, I have been MISSING breakfast burritos from Southern California and this, this right here.. compares close. It is hot, fresh, delish. The salsa tastes home-made, which I appreciate! If it’s not, it’s sure tasty. The Hot Italian sandwich is also very tasty. I have yet to try the coffee, instead I chose their “Put the lime in the Coconut” Lotus drink which is delicious! As well as their peach mango refresher. I am excited to come back to try their coffee. Their burritos alone will have me coming back time after time. Next time, perhaps I’ll try their chorizo or sausage and I will surely have to get two!...

I decided to swing by the Buckin Bean this morning because I was in the area and hadn't tried it yet. I'm so glad Mandan has another coffee shop with a drive thru! I missed the morning rush, so no one was in line. I ordered an iced caramel latte and a breakfast sandwich. My drink was wonderful! The coffee was smooth and not acidy or bitter. My breakfast sandwich was yummy. It was an egg, bacon and cheese on an English muffin. Delicious! The barista taking my order was very friendly. I'll definitely be back! My only suggestion is to have a local favorites menu or something. I never know what to order and it's so nice when there are customer favorites or something listed (I know you have daily lotus drinks listed on FB). Thanks again for the great drink, food, ...
