Rip off! I signed up for the V. I. P. offer to send coupons to your phone about 5 years ago. Almost every time I have attempted to use a coupon, they find a reason not to honor it. In the past, when I used them for “to go” orders I noticed that I had been charged 5 to 7$ for the second pizza which was supposed to be free. Check your receipts! I had several unused coupons with NO expiration date in my phone because I usually order to go, but at some point they changed the coupons to dine in only. I attempted to use one the other day and handed my phone to the waiter. When I looked over to see what was taking so long he was scrolling through my phone. He comes to the table to tell me that all of my coupons had been redeemed and could not be used. I had 9 unused coupons in my phone (all dine in). In 25 years I have dined in there 3 times, I usually order pick up. So how could I have redeemed 9 dine in coupons? So it seems that they redeemed all of my coupons so I could not use one of them. My phone had several “redeemed” messages when he handed my phone back to me. I contacted the owner of the Covington location to see if he could give me a contact number for the owner of the Mandeville location. He assured me that this was not the way they were to treat customers and that his cousin Aiden owned the Mandeville location and he would have him contact me. Here we are 3 days later and apparently (like some other reviews state) the owner does not care. Since I have not heard from the owner, I will assume that he is aware of what is happening and condones it. We have several great pizza restaurants in Mandeville and Covington I suggest staying away from this one. Don’t send out coupons if you don’t want...
Read moreApparently the kid's and adult's sizes for the chicken alfredo are actually the same exact size, but twice as expensive. The only difference is they put green onion and a tiny bit more chicken in the adult portion. When I first got the pasta I was told that the adult size is waaaay more food, like almost twice as much, she has to save half of it as leftovers when she gets the adult size. Turns out, they're not different sizes, just slightly different portions in the same size bowl, and they justified the extra $7 by including a salad, which you can't exclude from the meal.
There was also some confusion over payment because I was handed my food and was told to have a nice day, so I thought I paid. They insisted on getting my card info over the phone, and even though I offered to bring in cash, they made the manager pay for it and asked me to come in and drop off cash immediately, which would have made my food cold. I eventually got them to agree to let me bring in cash the next day, but that was tough.
I liked the kids portion because it was like $8 for a good amount of pasta, and it was just a normal cheesy alfredo sauce. The adult portion has a bucket of cilantro and it tastes like soap. I literally can't eat it, and they won't let me bring it back. I offered to just bring the whole meal back and not pay anything, but that's not an option. Can't bring back the salad and just pay for the kid's size, even though that's basically what I got.
The whole thing was ridiculous, no one listened to me except to say that I still had to pay for it. Once I settle the $18 I owe for food I'm not eating, I'm not coming back...
Read moreI order take out from here about once a week. My orders are typically between 50 to 70 dollars. Sometimes they insist on taking payment over the phone even though I've been ordering at least once a week for a year or two at least. I don't know why they can't look at my order history and see that I'm going to pick up the order instead of accusing me of placing false orders that I'm not going to pick up by requesting payment over the phone. So today I was driving while I called and they insisted on payment over the phone and the clerk could not get my card number right and it kept declining so eventually I said hey just let me pay when I get there like usual and they said okay. If it's okay then why ask me to pay over the phone? Why do you need that? I order from a Mexican place right next door about once a week as well and they have never ever asked for advance payment. Nowhere in Mandeville has ever asked for this from me. The food is generally good, but it's run of the mill like Italian pie, pizza roma, etc...nothing special. I have been asking for them to leave the salad off when I order a pasta dinner because I don't want to waste food and it will just go in the trash, but they insist on making and putting a salad in with my order even though I ask for them to not make it for me. To top it off, tonight the $30 pizza I order they didn't bother to cut. I moved to the north shore 3 years ago and this is my first time truly unsatisfied with a restaurant and would love to talk to the owner personally to express my concerns. If they want to make a decent profit, they need to respect their...
