My wife and I ordered two medium iced drinks but the drive thru intercom seemed to not be working when we ordered and had to repeat our order again after pulling up to the drive thru window, which was no big deal except when the order was repeated back to us by the employee at the window, the employee did not get the order right after repeating several times. We repeated our order again, the two medium iced drinks, and the employee seemed to correct it and place our order. We paid and even tipped. However when she gave us our order, she gave us one small iced drink and one medium hot coffee. We usually have great service here, so we were disappointed with this lack of understanding and getting our order correct. Tipping is supposed to be a reward AFTER good service. It is not supposed to be a bribe FOR good service. And honestly, that is what it feels like most of the time having to tip before you even receive your order. Tipping needs to leave coffee drive throughs. Companies should properly train and pay their employees to ensure fair compensation for work and quality service to the customer. They should stop depending on customers to make up the difference in pay that baristas should get for their work and give them a fair wage. I'd rather pay more for coffee knowing that I will always get good service than wondering if the barista feels like I tipped them enough to guarantee that they are going to make the drinks that I ordered for my wife and myself. Ordering coffee should never feel like a gamble, yet for some reason it does at...
Read moreI have been going to P.J.s for over 30 years - this location is CONSISTENTLY INCONSISTENT - I always order 3 shots of expresso over ice in a 20oz paper cup and always am charged for three shots of expresso $3.05 - this morning I order the same thing and was being charged $3.40 for an Americano - I didn't order an Americano - I ordered three shots of expresso. I just purchased this on Saturday for $3.05 - the girl at the counter said that we have to charge you the higher price - I said I have never paid the higher price for the same drink (both 3 shots and an Americano has 3 shots) please cancel and left never to come back. Even though I asked to cancel after I left I saw that I was charged for it, I called and they said they would credit it back but indicated it was "company policy" that they are required to charge me for the Americano when I order 3 shots - even though I have been ordering three shots this way for a long long long long time including at this store - I don't really think they care about price transparency and honoring their posted menu prices which speaks to poor customer service. UPDATE 30APR2023 - still no call back from store management or corporate management - an email from corporate management says they can’t find this review - I pointed out the location- sent a link in reply - still crickets - they post menu prices then charge you something different “because...
Read moreThis location is price gouging. They recently increased their prices an entire dollar. Quite a jump for a drink. Employee said increase was due to new 32oz size for large cold beverages. That would be acceptable, but their prices increased for HOT beverages too, which are still the standard 20oz size that they’ve always been. So we now have to pay $1 extra for nothing?? The staff here have no explanation. I get the same PJs drink about 4-5 times per week. None of the other locations have increased their prices for either cold OR HOT beverages. Save your money and go to the next nearest location.
Update: This location also doesn’t confirm account when scanning app QR code for rewards points. Just realized my points from last several purchases weren’t applied to my account. Staff from different location said that employees are supposed to check the screen since the scan doesn’t...
