Downstairs Bar — Restaurant in Manhattan Beach

Just stopped in here for a couple drinks before dinner, place looked cool, nice vibe, but horrible service, or really lack thereof. There were 7 others in the bar besides us, so we grabbed a corner table near the bar. The waitress seemed to ignore our existence so I finally approached the bar and asked for a drink menu and sat back down (thinking’s she’ll eventually wait on us, since idk, she had literally no other tables or customers to assist). I was wrong, the waitress soon left and returned minutes later with a to go box for the bar twosome. We waisted nearly 20 mins in a dead bar trying to get a drink from a waitress that clearly had better things to do than wait on us.....

This seemed like it was going to be a chill bar near the beach. I needed a place to set up my laptop for just an hour or so. Came here close to when the opened. It was a very chill vibe inside and lots of fresh air. The bartender was nice but I think maybe she thought it was weird to be on a laptop. The longer I was there the crazier it got and it ended up not being the vibe I expected and felt like I probably shouldn't be on my laptop. So I left after one drink. It was a really good margarita though. I would drink here but maybe not the bar to do some work at haha. Which is a pretty new concept anyway...

An Honest Review: This place can get really busy, especially when they host live music. Be patient when ordering a drink, as there may be only two bar tenders working. The bar area is crowded so youll be rubbing elbows to place an order. Cash is King! Flash the cash and youll likely get served first. The vibe was chill, limited seating. Demographic; majority working professionals ages mid-30s to mid-50s. 3.5 stars for minor inconveniences but otherwise...
