Paradise Bowls in Manhattan Beach is a little slice of heaven for anyone who loves fresh, healthy, and delicious açai bowls. Located just a short walk from the beach, this charming spot offers a welcoming vibe and a menu full of vibrant, nutrient-packed creations that are as beautiful as they are tasty.
The Açai Bowls: The açai bowls at Paradise Bowls are nothing short of amazing. The base is perfectly blended—thick, creamy, and bursting with the rich, berry-forward flavor of açai. I tried the “Paradise Bowl,” which is topped with a generous helping of granola, fresh banana and strawberry slices, coconut flakes, and a drizzle of honey. Every bite was a perfect balance of textures and flavors, from the crunch of the granola to the natural sweetness of the fruit. They also offer a variety of other bowls, like the “Maui Bowl” with peanut butter and chocolate chips or the “Dragon Bowl” with pitaya (dragon fruit), so there’s something for everyone.
Quality & Freshness: One thing that stands out at Paradise Bowls is the quality of their ingredients. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, from the açai base to the toppings. You can tell they prioritize using wholesome, natural ingredients, which makes indulging in their bowls feel like a treat for your body and your taste buds.
Portion Size: The portions are generous and filling, making these bowls a great option for a light meal or a post-beach snack. They’re also customizable, so you can add or swap toppings to create your perfect bowl.
Ambiance: The vibe at Paradise Bowls is laid-back and beachy, perfectly reflecting its Manhattan Beach location. The small, cozy space is bright and inviting, with a few outdoor tables where you can enjoy your bowl while soaking up the California sunshine. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel instantly relaxed, whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or lingering over your bowl with friends.
Service: The staff are friendly, welcoming, and happy to explain the menu or make recommendations if you’re new to açai bowls. The service is quick, which is great for those on the go, but they never make you feel rushed.
Overall: Paradise Bowls is a must-visit spot in Manhattan Beach, especially if you’re a fan of açai bowls or just looking for a healthy, refreshing treat. The combination of fresh ingredients, delicious flavors, and a relaxed atmosphere makes it a standout. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, this is a place you’ll want to return to...

There is no doubt there are struggles with Covid but it’s been AMAZING to see how so many businesses have pivoted + offer innovative opportunities to continue to serve their costumers. In my experience, it is clear Paradise Bowls has missed this opportunity to excel.
On Thursday, I went into the cafe without a mask while 2 adults + 3 kids under 5 was outside. I did not have a mask + used my sleeve. I was told I was not going to be able to be served. Mind you, I have a medical exception as well.
Once outside + talking to the staff, I asked if we could at least place an order at the door since the other girls forgot their masks + the kids looked forward to Paradise Bowls all day. The mom drove them from over an hour away. We were told that the team working did not feel comfortable touching my card.
As you can guess, the kids became upset + began to cry.
No options was provided: offering us a mask to use, taking our order at the door, calling in our card #, verbally giving our card # from the door, sending us a square invoice, + the list goes on of ways Paradise Bowls could have used this opportunity as a way to serve their costumers but more importantly, their kiddo customers. I’ve worked in the food industry + now in the health field... I know more could have been done if the team members heart was focused on serving + loving.
Safe to say, costumers lost. I hope your experience is more...
Read moreWhile the contents of the açai bowl were fresh and tasty…the quantity seemed lacking. It would have been great if they had actually included more in the bowl (ie. fully filled it), especially for the price.
I think that someone new in training made our bowls that morning and forgot to include more granola and other ingredients…It was very disappointing as the photos of the bowls others had online seem more in keeping with how much should be included.
I had a “small” açai bowl in Waikiki recently that was fresh and delicious and that was jam packed with fruit, granola, açai and other ingredients…you felt that you really got your money’s worth.
Sadly not with these Paradise Bowls...
