Sweet Velvet Macarons — Restaurant in Manheim Township

I had an excellent experience here. When I visited, I was the only customer in the store at the time, though I noticed a steady flow of people coming and going before I walked in. The space itself is quiet, clean, and spacious, with an easy-to-navigate ordering process. Despite some mixed reviews I’d seen, the customer service was friendly and welcoming. As a self-proclaimed macaron enthusiast, I had high expectations and they were absolutely exceeded. I ordered a six-count box and was pleasantly surprised with a free sample, which was a nice extra touch.

The flavors I chose were: Birthday Cake Dubai Pistachio Chocolate (not pictured) Crème Brûlée Burnt Honey Vanilla Chai Gooey Butter Cake Lemon Meringue Pie

Every single one was a 10/10. They were soft, flavorful, and tasted fresh—not artificial at all. My favorite was the Burnt Honey Vanilla Chai, which to me had more of a brown sugar note, but still a chef’s kiss flavor profile! If I had to pick a least favorite, it would be the free sample I chose - Browned Butter Cookie Dough. It was just okay for me, maybe a 6/10, as it lacked the richness and flavor punch of the others.

Went into the store a few minutes before 9am with my son(like 8:54 am)we were deciding what flavor to get and how many when the girl working came to us with puking face, “we open at 9am” she said. I said, oh..”we didn’t know, the door was open” My son and me were very confused and started to walk out of the store. She looked at us like we were out of our minds for not knowing at what time they open but the door was open, so. My son insisted on waiting even though we were behind schedule, he loves their macaroons…me I jut would have walked away with that actitud she gave us. But, then we waited, went back in at 9am and no one was there. Haha. Is this a joke? I waited for a couple seconds since they can hear people waking in, maybe she would have the decency after turning customers for a few minutes away to be there , but nope, I have to say hello two times and finally she came out. Of course, with the same unpleasant face. Obviously she doesn’t know how business works, because if you have your door open and you are there already you can just sell one box to early customers that walked in because it was literally open. They place is very clean, the macarons are delicious in our opinion. Just don’t walk one minute before 9 am....

First, these are the best macarons I’ve ever had. So soft, fresh, filled, cooked perfectly, not an empty shell, they’re just so amazing. So many amazing flavors, all of them so powerfully flavorful and delicious. Second, the customer experience/service was great. She spent time explaining the flavors, options on boxes, talking with me, just so friendly and welcoming. I need to find out her name and let the owner know how great of an employee they have. I was there Thursday Feb 22 in the afternoon. DAIRY FREE ITEMS ! I have a hard time finding any dairy free things for my daughter who has a severe dairy allergy, and they have them and she loved them.
