Habanero Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Mankato

Painfully average and over priced, massively disappointed in the chorizo cheese dip it was almost cold when I ate it and I ordered it and ate it within 5 mins! Why would you not season the fries with the torta? So bland and gross… if I’m paying $15 for a torta I expect big portions, and if the portions aren’t big i expect it to be delicious and high quality. With the almost endless amounts of quality Mexican food in Mankato why would I ever choose this place over anything else? I live walking distance of this place and I’d rather get in my car and go anywhere else, honestly I’d rather go to QDOBA next door or the chipotle...

My boyfriend and I walked in, the front man went out back. We assumed he’d be right back for he knew there were people in the store as he walked out. Mind you, we were the only two that were there at that time. We were waiting there for 20-30 minutes just staring at their screen menu as the cook was playing online games in the back. There was only one gentleman that I saw working. I waited 5 minutes out front before he came from the back. I almost left but I'm so glad I didnt. Got the Quesabirria for myself and a kids chimichanga meal. Everything was delicious and we loved it! Great value for the kids meal and my son devoured it. The rice and beans were sooo flavorful, and the consomme was rich and amazing. I've tried many mexican places in Kato and this one...
