Huge disappointment, egregious business practices, bland food, and obnoxious dining experience. First and foremost a large fast food chain should not have their employees rely on tips to make by if they need to have tips to make the business model work they need to increase their prices. Tipping is economy, consumer, and employees it is just there to benefit the corporation. Bad consumer will not tip and that puts the burden on the employees. If tipping was that only problem I had then I would not be writing this if the food was good.
As for the food it was with lacking of seasoning and of portion size were smaller than Chiportles. If tastes worse and is smaller that their biggest competitor then their prices must be good. That is the the catch they're $1.60 more for a chicken burrito and that is not with the tip. despite it being one of the blindest burritos I've ever eaten I still had to dry mouth after eating it that means there's a ludicrous amount of salt in it and you can't even taste it. If I am eating something unhealthy I would rather be able to enjoy what I eat. Beyond bad prices and food you would love to guess that the dining in was good, Right?
That is a no, the staff is friendly and the tables are clean but that's the only good I can say. The music was cranked up way too high making ordering a chore and seating was worse than when it was a Massad’s there years ago. It indoor seating looks like it could hold up to four to five groups at best before it becomes a nightmare for any one wanting to order food. There is no room to line up for your order so if even 3 people are in front of you it becomes a claustrophobic disaster.
Chipotle's three blocks away and is infinitely better food and that's saying something because even Chipotle isn't very good. Go to jakes or Shawarmania around the corner if you're looking for something close and that is actually worth eating.
Edit: It has come to my attention that a lot of the reviews were basically bought. A co-worker of mine was telling me that they were discounts and prizes for five-star reviews on their opening week. This means that many of the early reviews from July 19-26 are pretty much untrustworthy and why they have so many reviews from that time period. Read moreI’m not one to review online. I did not see anywhere in the app to do so? I ordered delivery today at 11 which took almost hour to get. It’s a new location so I understand. It’s really about the food.I eat at Qdoba any chance I get when out of town so I was excited. First the chips were so stale almost as if mixed a few new with old only maybe 1/4 of bag not fresh at all… then I ordered a bowl with brisket birria and added extra meat chicken. The brisket was one piece of which should be thrown away when pulling the meat off how one could not see… hmm yeah ….this was clearly not meat…. so no brisket ok that’s nice…then chicken if u could find any there was maybe the crumbles at the bottom of container…not to mention the rest had zero flavor and other ingredients were missing. Very disappointing will take awhile for me to want to go back to this location. As for the driver I give him a 10 he sat there over a half hour waiting for this order.. very expensive bowl and chips that went in the garbage not to mention the delivery...
Read moreI'm a huge fan of Qdoba, whenever we are in Sioux falls it's a must stop, got very excited to get one here in Kato finally.
We've eaten here 3 times now and 2 out of those 3 have been horrendous.
The staff sucks.
We ordered the Tuesday after opening, it was busy, we stood in line, my daughter and I, fella took my order and pressed on past my daughter and didn't bother to ask if we wanted anything else, by the time I was to order my 3 other meals my burrito was down the lane to the next station with people going around us. Paid for my entree and left.
We ordered 2 times for pickup, and waited in line today for 30 minutes to cold food, had to go back because they forgot my son's burrito, my daughters chips and queso.
Last Saturday they forgot 2 of our entrees.
They offered today that next time we'll get a free entree, nah. There won't be a next time for us here in kato.
Seriously this is the worst Qdoba.
