This place felt short on every category. When we arrived... We were on the impression that it was a candle store... I can live with that... it's a weird city at first... We ask for their wine card... they got ... NONE. In fact they bring you a card with their beer in bottle and a little tab "wine" where you find "Cabernet" "Chardonnay" "Merlot" and so on... at that point they can serve you Black Box or CK Mondavi you will never know. So, we took our phone and we zoomed on their bar and we saw (indeed Robert Mondavi) but also a Mans Merlot by Jan Fiskaal which we "can" live with it. So we asked the girl the price for a bottle. She laughed and said "oh sorry i don't know I never saw anybody ordering a bottle" . Oh surprise... Is Mannings a Dry county that we are not aware already? So the manager came and.... ah it will be 40$ for the bottle. I thing she realized "on the spot" the mistake she just said with our faces changing. She was like "our house wine is 18". We simply declined the wine. Just like nah . My wife ordered Baked fettucini and I got their "speciality" Club Sandwich. The Fettucini came with a Salad as appetozer. I ordered my club with french fries instead of their chips. Never saw the salad ... never saw the French fries. When she brought our main Course... my wife said . "I was supposed to have a salad" and I said simultanously "This is supposed to be with french fried not chips". So again "Clo" the manager steps in and said "hold on" She came back with 2 glasses of wine (on the house) and an extra fries. In a MINUTE... not 5 minutes after . So, whole picture, she did the good things. It was kind a good way to repair the upcoming mistakes. BUT I cannot put a higher score since the club (looking very great! Superb presentation) was not very good. Made from poor cold cuts. The Fettucini was good though. But that "type" of "high-end" restaurant must be sturdier and offer options for everyone. I understand that it's a small town and probably no tourist or travellers pass through there. So maybe I am wrong. Without saying I "dont" recommend... it is probably mostly more for "every day lunch" than Top...
Read moreWednesday around 2:30pm…we were seated immediately and the place was mostly empty…..Sitting waiting for food to come out, again. Had our appetizer of fried veggies (they were super greasy) but we had to wait and wait for it to come out because our server was dealing with ToGo orders and apparently no one else can bring out our food until we asked for it. Finally, another server brings out my shrimp and grits and our daughters buffalo chicken sandwich but no sweet potato fries, said they’d be right out, but 8 minutes later aaand no fries AND the server informed us as she set down our plates that they were out of baked potatoes so they couldn’t make my husbands dish!! AYFKM!?!? We waited all this time for entrees!??? She said they didn’t realize it until they went to make it! 🤦♀️I tried my grits while she spoke with my husband and after ONE bite it was clear to me that I was not eating my dish. I had asked for the shrimp to be fried instead of pan seared. The grits had zero flavor and “sauce”/bell peppers/andouille and cheese also had no seasoning. No pepper or thyme or “gravy. Hubby was hungry and said he’d eat mine. STILL NO FRIES. So I order chicken fingers and sides. Hubby is eating fried shrimp and informed me that it was super salty and then picked at the rest but didn’t finish it. STILL NO FRIES!! My chicken fingers came out and they were so brown they looked burnt (old fryer oil) AND STILL NO FRIES. That’s when I said to the server, no thanks, I’m done, keep your chicken fingers and fries, bring us the bill. She said she would go get the manager. I went to ladies room and hubby spoke with her. The manager explained that the shrimp not being cooked with everything else threw the flavors off. Ummm no!! Whatever!! Fix your...
Read moreWent there for lunch, ordered an appetizer and a sandwich with fries The appetizer and the sandwich came out at the same time without my fries no plates for the appetizers, when I asked about my fries she said they weren't ready yet. My sandwich that was supposed to be warm was cold, waitress took the sandwich back to warm it up when my plate left it had a pickle when it came back there was no pickle and my fries were soggy so I'm assuming they just microwaved my sandwich to warm it up, when they returned the sandwiches my sandwich was on my friend's plate and her sandwich was on my plate I knew this because there was a tomato on one of the sandwiches and I asked for no tomato The waitress said oh sorry The cook accidentally mixed up your two sandwiches never got a refill on my drink either. Asked to speak to the manager she said she was the owner and that her daughter cooked but then she referred to the cook as a he? My lunch for two people with an appetizer and two sweet teas was $51.00, spending that kind of money you would think that the food would be at least good and the service pretty decent as well unfortunately neither one was the case. I was really disappointed, even more disappointed with the owner. When there is a problem with service and or food the buck stops with the owner, the restaurant wasn't very busy there should have never been this many mistakes. I would give zero stars but unfortunately Google won't let me so they're given them a free star as far as I'm concerned they don't even...
