So, I am not sure if we called this establishment on a bad day or what, but I have no intentions of returning anytime soon. First off, we tried to call the establishment by the number listed online and it kept going to a voicemail. Upon arriving there I did, see the sign outside but there was no person to explain that the phone was not working. Once the not so friendly gentleman acknowledged that I was inside the building, he probably asked me did I see the sign. Naturally I informed to myself a sign but that the phone line was not working. At that point all he did was point to the number on the door and tell me that I needed to call in my order. I'll explain this the way at that time as not necessarily being rude, but just dry. I let that go. Out to go back to the car to try to call again I fell, no one came out to assist me, no one seemed to care. I let that go. I do apologize, but I cannot let the quality of the food go. My family and I saw all the wonderful reviews online and all of the amazing pictures of the food and decided that this would be our dinner for today. First off almost everything we originally wanted to order was sold out. I'm not sure how you offer specials for the day and they're gone but okay. So in turn we all decided to order fish dinners, with greens and mac and cheese. We will now be looking for a real dinner. The fish was hard, the greens appear to have soured, and the mac and cheese was definitely not something that I would be looking to order again. There was not a single condiment in the bag. Everyone offered cornbread despite ordering greens. That may sound like a luxury but at least offer it, even if we would have had to pay an additional fee. Then it was rather overpriced for the quality. So many people have raved about the food here, but I'm not wondering, did we eat at the same restaurant? The gentleman was a bit more talkative once I was paying for our meals, but needless to say the customer service is definitely lacking. I want to support our local black all the businesses, but there has to be a standard. We don't walk into other establishments owned by any other nationality and settle for that kind of service, treatment, or food. It certainly wasn't what I was expecting. It wasn't close to my home, but we were willing to go there just because the food looked amazing. It is not a drive that I will...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFred Nunn is absolutely disgusting and unprofessional towards customers. I placed a pick up order for an eight piece wing meal, and small Mac and cheese. At pick up, he was chatting to another customer so I sat with my son to wait. He rudely addressed me, saying I did not speak, mind you, he was talking with another customer when I entered, I was just patiently waiting my turn. I told him that was a bit strong to come off. I guess to make up for for that, he offered my son a popsicle while we waited, which we were thankful for. When the order was complete, he told me the order was $30, I was concerned with price and wanted to verify my order. He stated I didnāt know what I ordered, that I ordered 16 pieces of chicken and not eight. I explained that was not the order we discussed, nor confirmed when I placed the order over the phone. He aggressively gave my card back and took the food from the counter, accusing me of not knowing what I ordered. I told him, he was mistaken with my order and his behavior just turned absurd, stating I could join the ārest of themā who doesnāt like how he does his business. I tried to support this black establishment and the good things I was told about the food, but Fredās level of professionalism is disgusting and definitely lost any further interest of mine....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDisappointed as a first-time customer. I called to ask about a meal they posted on Facebook with no caption, name, or price ā just a photo. The sauce looked creamy, and since I canāt eat cheese, I was trying to be cautious and called to clarify.
Instead of answering normally, the man on the phone gave me attitude like I was wasting his time. He said, āIt is what it is, you saw the picture,ā and when I explained I was just trying to be sure thereās no cheese in it since I canāt have dairy he replied in a smart, dismissive tone: āNo one puts cheese on theirs.ā I donāt understand why you need to answer that why Like⦠for what? Iām literally just trying to make sure so I donāt get sick to begin with?
He couldāve easily just said, āItās butter and garlic.ā Thatās all I needed know. But instead, I got treated like a problem for asking a basic question. After checking reviews, I realized a lot of people have had the same experience ā itās clearly a pattern with the same guy.
They used to be a restaurant and downgraded to a food truck, and honestly, based on the attitude, I can see why.
If youāre going to run a business, basic respect should be part of the menu too. I wonāt be dining or supporting them.
Itās literally free to be nice...
