My sister and I had been craving raw oysters, so we came here for lunch to try them out. Although they were freshly cracked, they were not properly cleaned and every Oyster we had was FULL of grit and shell particles. The cook might need training on how to do it properly. I did it wrong my first time too! We struggled to get them down. The drinks served under the oysters were so awful that we ordered an extra coke on the side just to cleanse our palette. The place is lively and fun and the waitress was very sweet and kind. However, the food did not meet any of our expectations..presentation was great.... but the actual food quality was not. I ordered the enchiladas with ground beef and they were only full of 80% potatoes, 20% ground beef. I double checked to make sure i didn't order some kind of picadillo. The overall experience was disappointing. Service was sluggish, with long waits for even basic requests, and the servers gave off an aloof, disengaged attitude that made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming. Unfortunately, the food did little to make up for it—dishes were underwhelming in both flavor and presentation, and certainly not worth the steep prices. The one saving grace is the decor: the ocean-themed murals and furnishings are genuinely impressive and make the space visually memorable. We have been wanting to try this new restaurant in Manor for a while, and finally did so today. I am sorry we waited. They have done a great job with the decor and seating and it feels very warm and welcoming. I had the bacon wrapped shrimp (Camarones Momia) and my wife ordered the Beefsteak lunch (Plate Milanesa). Both of our plates were full and we ended up taking the leftovers home. Our food was delivered in about 10 minutes and the waitress was cheerful and responsive.
