I had the pleasure of stumbling upon Tawakkul Bites today, and wow, was it an unforgettable experience! If you’re a fan of Mediterranean flavors, this food truck is a must-try. The menu is filled with all the classics—falafel, gyro, shawarma—but with a freshness and authenticity that really sets it apart from the usual fare. I went with the lamb gyro, and it was perfection on a plate. The lamb was tender, juicy, and seasoned beautifully, with just the right amount of spices. Paired with fresh, crisp vegetables, tangy tzatziki, and wrapped in a warm, soft pita, it was everything you want in a gyro—and then some. The falafel? Absolutely crispy on the outside, yet light and fluffy on the inside. It was clearly made with love and fresh ingredients. What really stood out, though, was the level of care and friendliness from the staff. They took the time to explain the menu and even recommended some sides that complemented the main dishes perfectly. I can’t say enough good things about Tawakkul. To begin, Lucky (owner) is truly the kindest man. So attentive and takes so much pride in what he does. He took this little lot on the side of the road and made a really pleasant welcoming space, and the marble tops on the tables are stunning. I completely forgot to take pictures because we dug right it. The food came out so hot and the ingredients are super fresh. You can taste the love and culture behind what he does. I am a girl who loves sauces and every sauce we had was phenomenal. I don’t know exactly what is in the 3 squeeze bottles but they are incredible. We ordered tzatziki, beef gyro wrap and a chicken shawarma wrap. He was kind enough to give us a sample of the hummus which is one of the best I’ve ever had in the states. My friends, husband, and I went here a couple weekends ago and absolutely loved it! The owners are sooo sweet and just so fun to talk to. We really enjoyed our experience there. Every meal was fresh made to order, delicious, and felt authentic. I’m so glad that Manor is starting to have some food truck variety! This is definitely an awesome addition. It was too cold so we didn’t sit outside but the setup is really cute with some tables, lights, and games. The games kept my toddler entertained while we ordered food and although he can be picky, he loved the kids nuggets and fries. Each of us really enjoyed our shwarmas, gyros, fries, and bowls.
