Mama Cuca's Mexican Cuisine — Restaurant in Mansfield

.... Just WOW... This place! Those AMAZEBALLS servers, I just can't even!!! 1st WOW- i walk in AFTER the "open" sign was turned off, & my head was spinning just seeing the place filled TO CAPACITY- servers running back n forth intently catering to everyone's needs. Squeezed my way thru a crowd waiting to be seated @ 7:55pm (they close at 8pm!!)- I seek the 1st server that I cd catch, & ask to place a togo order. I swear I FULLY EXPECTED to be rushed along by a distracted/tired/frustrated server who was clearly already juggling multiple orders. Only instead i was pleasantly asked if I'd like a menu!? This server was @ the register in mid ticket 4sure, but stopped to run across the room & gt a menu for me!? 2nd WOW- I took a few to scan the menu then lookd around to catch a server & gt my order placed. A DIFFERENT srver runs up to get on the register when I took the chance to quickly ask if I cd order- & YET AGAIN amongst the MAYHEM everywhere & loud chatter from all directions, she begged me to give her one second & thanked me & APOLOGIZED for the inconvenience!??? 3rd WOW- I place the most ANNOYING order a server cd get (askd 4 subs & extras of 4 different sauces). this girl was SO FREAKISHLY AMAZINGLY KIND & DIDNT EVEN MENTION ANY XTRA CHARGES!? i was in such shock @ this point as she listened intently & entering each request & even assured no charges aftr I offered to pay extra!??? I forgot my card in the car!! 4th WOW- I beg to run & grab my card & come bk which she had no issue w/, even tho she had to wait before taking care of others she was ALREADY serving!? 5th WOW- im promptly handed my food. I asked abt my extras which she assured & named each thing she added in my bag! 6th WOW!!??? - I get in the car open the bag & everything i asked for is there, but realized i explained my order incorrectly.. i swear I didnt want be a thorn but I decided to see if I cd just pay for the stuff I forgot. Walked in & she ran right to me to see what happened!!? 7th WOW- I sheepishly tell her the issue & ask to just pay 4 some extra sauces & she replies saying she had ordered it that way @ 1st but thought it better to give me the way i asked- then quickly races to the kitchen & walks out w/ AN ENTIRE OTHER ORDER OF THE MEAL i ordered, made the way i came back 2 ask for. She hands it to me & says it was already made so dont worry about it! 8th Wow- ON TOP OF ALL MY NONSENSE- my selfish STUPID self goes so far as to ask 4 an extra salsaAFTR SHE WALKED AWAY- which she AGAIN ran to rhe kitchen to gt for me. 9th WOW- i ask another worker who was near if she was the manager, had my card in my hand from earlier & THIS ENTIRELY DIFFERENT PERSON says to me " no I'm not, why are you trying to pay for it!?" I said well yes but also wanted to see who everyone was- she says no & no maam you arent paying its, completely fine, dont worry abt it!!!!?!?? 759 thousandth WOW- JUST OMFG!?!!!! These people should be recognized for their INSANELY AMAZING KINDNESSS regardless of how CLEARLY EXHAUSTED overworked and extra tired they HAD to be!!! Above & Beyond couldn't even describe how committed this place is to serving their customers! There are LITERALLY NO WORDS i can muster to describe the level of kind unconditional customer service - LIKE NO PLACE IVE EVER BEEN TO IN LIFE...!! SHOUTOUT TO MY AMAZING SERVER- JESSICA!!!??!! YOUR ACTIONS & SERVICE BEYOND EXCEEDS THE HIGHEST RATE OF EXCELLENCE. GOD BLESS YOU GIRL & ALL U OTHER AMAZEBALLS SERVERS! Upon entrance your first thought is YES! But NO! DO NOT be fooled by those smiling faces and the ambiance! I have been entranced by the aroma that wafted in the parking lot for a while because I used to do yoga at The Sunshine Yoga Shack a couple of doors down. My Husband and I found ourselves in the area on a Friday evening and I said hey let's try it! We were greeted and seated immediately. This is going well I thought! We were seated between a party of ladies who appeared to be finishing up and behind us there was a party of 3. Then it went WRONG as soon as Narahy appeared on the scene! She was just NOT happy that we had been seated in her zone! I told her it was our first time and asked questions and she said "that's up to you" very boorishly. We brushed it off but when she went out of her way to ignore us going from the ladies table then to the table behind us and then maybe check on us but not too attentive because my supposed "Peach" margarita (DON'T ORDER THAT by the way) way late for us to finish it and then offering to send it with us in a cup. Never received that guacamole I had to tell her! It takes a LOT for my Husband to get upset he's mild mannered but after being clearly passed over perhaps because of the melanin in our skin, He was over it and the Sopaipilla that I was hoping for was not going to happen! He proclaimed that he was not going to spend not one more cent seeing as we were already up to $50 and she was laughing and engaging with the surrounding parties but basically wanted no part of us! All of this is to warn you if Narahy is your server ask to be MOVED! Food was MEHHH! Didn't live up to expectations and the service...

We haven't been to Mama Cucas in a while. We used to come all the time when they first opened, our son loves their tortilla soup, but he's grown and lives in another part of the state. But we decided to try it again, for a Friday night, we didn't wait long for a table. We had chips and salsa and were greeted by our server within the first few minutes of getting seated. If they ask you if you want the green salsa, its good, but it is spice-eeee. We ordered Tacos de Mexico, Chicken enchiladas, a flauta, Fajita nachos, and the tortilla soup, and the food was out in record timing, less than 10 minutes, and it was all fresh and delicious. We saved room for dessert, my husband had sopapillas, and I had the pecan pie. I know what you're thinking pecan pie at a Mexican restaurant? YES and it was delicious, they bring it out and prepared it at our table on a hot skillet plate with ice cream, caramel drizzle and something else that is super yummy, it was probably milk but who cares it was delicious!!! It's one of those dishes that everyone orders after they see the first person get it. One lady was staring my pie down, and I thought I was going to have to fight her over it.
