I got to say what you see on IG post or Tiktok is nothing like it at the restaurant. Querencia is a new restaurant in Manteca, their primary focus seems to be advertising to get the foot in the door but not custom service nor the food. Food is below average and over priced, customer service is really slow, if you're not a big party you will not receive any attention. We went here on a Wednesday around 11:45...only 1 table with 6 people and 4 other tables with 2-3 people max. First it took the waiter a cook 20mins to come and acknowledge us at the table and take our order. I ordered simple breakfast that they have it which was eggs w sausage, bacon and a side of pancake. The food finally came after 40 mins of our order. We let the server know that the service was really slow, he became argumentative immediately saying seems like all the people seemed to have come all at once. That is not my problem and hence there are other people at the facility to help out but if he is going to make excuses for spending more time on a 6people table that is sad. Oh I forgot mention to top it off the food was already cold when we got it. The Lady making drinks was so mesmerized by this guy who could have been barely an influencer that she kept making sure he and his companion got the food, the drinks as quickly as possible. I understand marketing is important but forgetting your other customers over 2 people who weren't even famous just because they may be influencer on IG or Tiktok, it is bad business. The mimosa was sub par and the michelada had no special flavors or tastier than the one you could make at home, actually the ones we make at home or get at most taqueria's has more flavors.
This place is bound to fail due to the customer service and the food. Place was super hot and stuffy like their airconditioner was not working. My egg and bacon seemed like they were microwave cooked 🤢 they were so dry you could see the leather on the sausage but no oil if fried and the toast (FYI it's 1 toast cut in half not 2 slices of bread toasted like other breakfast restaurants) my husband ordered was over toasted (partially burned).
Well people this place gets a 1 star from my end based on my first hand experience and the food. I would not recommend this place neither would I go back here. Also, I don't need free food to share a review and be pretentious to get attention I just need to give the people real review so they don't waste their money and time at a place that doesn't care about their customers. I write reviews because people that are looking for good food read the reviews and stars of a place on Google not go based on IG. So people when you read a review look at how many reviews has this person left prior to know if they're...
Read moreToday we went to Querencia for the second time since they opened. Just as on our first visit, everything was delicious. I had the BLT add cheese with fries and a coke and my girlfriend had the Chicken Fajitas. Our server, Emma, was very attentive. She also gave us a new appetizer to sample that was kind of like nachos with fried tortillas in house, vs regular tortilla chips and had chorizo as the meat. Is was quite good, and apparently is an item they're considering adding to the menu. When I asked for a refill on my soda... actually more like my third or fourth refill, lol... she said that their soda machine had just run out, and offered a glass bottle Mexican coke instead and at no additional charge. Which tells me that even if things don't always go flawlessly, they'll make it right or even better. At $46 pre-tip the pricing was about on par with most restaurants nowadays. Since taking over the location they have refreshed the dinning area and decorated very nicely. From what I understand this is a family business. I would highly recommend checking it out vs any one of the big chain restaurants in town, since the pricing is similar, while the food and service...
Read moreDELICIOUS NEW BRUNCH SPOT! New spot in Manteca where Johnny's was. Decorated cute, nice atmosphere. chilaquiles with red sauce, and over-medium egg. I added chicken which came as a peice of grilled chicken under the egg. The sauce was a crema red sauce which was so tasty! I'm a chilaquiles fan, and I order it often. I've never had chilaquiles like that but I really liked it! Also the chips were crunchy so it was nice and fresh. I'd definitely order again. My husband got the Chili Verde omelet it was huge made with 4 eggs, and very tasty! The meat was tender and delicious. Also came with a side of pancakes. He was full! They had the concha pan in a little case, and she put Nutella on it for us. It was fresh, soft, and yummy. I got the sunrise mimosa. It came with a chunky sugar rim so good! They do large, and mini mimosa flights, as well as the only spot in Manteca with the BIG SHAREABLE MIMOSAS! We will definitely be back, and will come back with my girlfriends for...
