$9.03 for one large cup of hard ice cream with 3 toppings, are you kidding me??? Talk about way overpriced ice cream. When I arrived at the shop, there was a no one to be seen and a sign in the window that read - Be back in a moment. I waited for quite awhile with another customer. Then finally a woman appeared from the back of the store to wait on us. She seemed to have an attitude and made no comment like "Sorry to keep you waiting", which would have been expected. So I gave her my order for a large cup of chocolate brownie hard ice cream, which should have been $3.99, as per the sign, along with 3 toppings (hot fudge, peanut butter, and chopped nuts). I give her a Twenty and receive only $10.97 in change back. I questioned the price and was told that because I chose Hot Fudge for one of the toppings it made it a Sundae, which apparently costs more. So what should have been a $3.99 cup of ice cream with three toppings ended up to be a whopping $9.03 Sundae. This is insane. Needless to say, I will never return to this rip-off place ever again. I will tell everyone I know to avoid this place like the plaque. I hope many others will avoid it after reading this review. Stay away and save your money. Website says that they are open until 10:00pm. A family member went and waited in line with her daughter behind four other guests at 9:20pm on their way home after visiting. They got to the font window and were told that they're only open until 9:30pm and cannot serve anyone else. Family member tried to explain that her daughter is four and just wanted some ice cream. They said sorry we are NOT allowed to stay open late and turned them away. It's now not 9:40pm. I called and they answered the phone and stated that Summer hours are 10:00pm, but that those hours don't start until June. Really? I asked why they even picked up the phone if they were "closed" and said they're cleaning. I asked why they couldn't provide a child with an ice cream cone and they said they are NOT allowed to stay open late. Really? I said that I felt they provided poor customer service and was told "Well, sorry but..." and then nothing. It states online "Open until 10:00pm every night" which is apparently not true. And from other reviews I've seen this is not the first time this has happened. I get that you need to start shutting down and it's hot and people want to go home. Disappointing Experience! While placing our order, the girl behind the counter repeatedly laughed at my boyfriend. I don’t know if it was because of his accent but every time he talked seemed to be very funny for her. This was very unprofessional and extremely disrespectful. Manville is home to people from various backgrounds. If laughing at one person’s accent is acceptable, it raises concerns about how others might be treated. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and respect, regardless of their background or way of speaking. We had high hopes for our visit, but this encounter left us feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome.
