New Fortune Restaurant — Restaurant in Manville

Our second time ordering, and second time very disappointed. Ordered General Tso's Chicken, my favorite, both times. Both times the texture was uncharacteristically spongy and it tasted bland and uninteresting. One container of the white rice was either leftovers or undercooked because the grains were not soft. We also ordered Chicken Egg Foo Young, but when we opened the package we found Chicken and Broccoli instead. Ok, mistakes happen, it's not the end of the world, except the dish was tasteless and there was a visibly thick layer of cooking oil floating on the sauce. These are common dishes in any Chinese restaurant so these kind of mistakes shouldn't be coming out of the kitchen. Although the portions are a nice size, the lack of flavor in the dishes ruined the experience for us both times. We were excited to have a Chinese restaurant so close to home, but unfortunately will not be ordering...

I placed an order kind of close to closing but I was still before closing. Placed the order online… an hour later no food showed up … I checked my card and the reversed the charge without even so much as a call to let me know no food was coming and I should order some place else. The lack of customer service is deplorable. This was the only place I ordered Chinese food from however now I will never spend a dollar of my hard earned money at this place. The courtesy of a phone call was to much to ask. It’s clear that they have zero value for the customers who have supported...

I will NEVER order from here again. I ordered takeout and the size of the meals could only feed a baby but they charge you $10. I specifically asked for white meat only but basically got chicken skin. Not only do they give you zero food and charge you a ridiculous amount, they cant even follow the one simple instruction. I'd rather order $10 of food from McDonald's and actually be full than order from here again. I mean, the calories are going to be basically the same...
