I want to start this off by saying that I have never done a review before and I am not one to complain, so this is truly a bad experience for me to comment. If I could give Jay Honda 0 stars, I would. I drove 3 hours to their dealership to hopefully purchase a CR-V I was interested in. The “salesman” Jake was very young and only showed me the “cool buttons” in the car, before sitting me at his desk and disappearing. The finance man, whom I believe was named Jay?, then approached me. I told him I have very good credit and because of that, I only wanted my credit ran ONCE to obtain a rate. He ASSURED me that this would not be a problem, he said at the very most he would run it through two banks. He ran my credit 8 times. All without my permission. All of which, by the way, was done without the “salesman” being present or having presented price offers or deal structures to me. The financer then led me to his office and told me I am “debt heavy” as soon as I sat down - which is highly inacccurate considering I have minimal student debt and a very good RN salary. He then handed me a paper immediately that he insisted I sign which only showed me three payment options. There was no price breakdown, buyers invoice, or deal structure provided. When I kept asking to see those, he spent 10 minutes telling me that he did not have access. I finally told him if I couldn’t see a breakdown of what I would be paying for, I would leave. He then miraculously had access to a buyers invoice, and I noticed the MSRP was $7k above the sticker price on the car. I asked him why, and he said “I’m allowed to mark it up as I see fit due to the market”. PRICE. GOUGING. After much deliberation, I politely told him I really wasn’t comfortable giving them my business and I left. As I walked through the lobby, another salesman rolled his eyes at me and said “I wish her luck, we have the only CR-V in the whole country”. Fun fact - they probably do now, because I went to Neil Huffman Honda dealership in IN and received EXCELLENT customer service, paid sticker price, and received a very generous warranty and nurse discount on protection services. Read moreBETRAYED and FALSE INFO by JAY HONDA: ( used car) When I went to see the car ( same car that I bought), I was told by salesperson and the manager multiple times that it includes 100,000 miles / 84 months "BUMPER TO BUMPER COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY"( It's not once, for multiple times on different days, they also looked at the computer, the manager confirmed face to face- I can quote his words). I was given several offers from other Honda dealerships within the same price range. One of the TOP 3 REASONS why I bought Honda from JAY HONDA that I was getting the "BUMPER TO BUMPER COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY". I was super happy and I pre booked the car with 2000$. when I went to finalize the purchase, At the last moment, I was told by the finance manager that the warranty is not "BUMPER TO BUMPER COMPREHENSIVE WARRANTY" ,,, it's TRANSMISSION ONLY.. I was given a offer of 3700$ for bumper to bumper and I had to buy it same day. I was disheartened and felt BETRAYED by JAY HONDA. I was not prepared and declined the warranty. I asked if they could lower the value of the car as I was given FALSE INFO in such a important decision point, they said no. As I spent so much money and time seeing the car, inspecting the car and talking with the salespersons, I bought it ultimately without the warranty but felt BETRAYED by JAY HONDA , apparently, they have the best customer service. HAHA. I was also told that all of the brakes had been changed - when I inspected the car, it looked that only the front brakes had been changed. It didn't matter to me as it was not in my top 10 deciding factors. But the warranty was in my top 3 deciding factors. I was contacted by a customer service of JAY HONDA team member. I told her about it. I was then contacted by the salesperson. I was asked what I wanted -- I said if they could arrange bumper to bumper comprehensive warranty what they told me I was getting, that would be great --And he said he will talk to the manager and get back to me-- never got back to me-- eventually I texted -- got a reply that they will not be able to offer anything. . Kinda lost hope...

As I walked in the dealership I was greeted by 2 salesmen. Omar introduced himself and asked me my name. He had a very inviting personality and an infectious smile. He asked what brought me in and I explained I was interested in information about the Honda Coupe. I also explained that I had had a bad experience at a competitor and he assured me that he was there to provide me with the information that I needed and help assist me with any questions or concerns I had. There was NO pressure about my credit background or pressure to buy. We looked at a couple models and he explained the difference between an Accord and a Civic.I saw a Civic that I liked and he explained all the features and different packages and accessories. I also had questions about the difference between purchasing and leasing. He explained it in terms that I could understand and never pressured me about my credit history or how soon I would be purchasing. After a test drive I decided on the Coupe and leasing. We filled out the necessary paperwork. When he realized that the wait would be a little longer than usual he suggested that I go have dinner and come back in about an hour and a half. When I arrived back I had about a 10 minute wait before I was able to see Patsy the finance person who was also very friendly. Patsy had me in and out within a matter of about 15 min. Omar handed me the keys and spent an additional 15 minutes explaining some of the cars features. I felt very emotional and overwhelmed! I had no idea I would be leaving with a new car that day, but Omar was very confident that I would . He made me feel like a close friend or family member, like I had known him for years when in fact it was only a few hours. My experience was outstanding from the time I walked in till the time I left! I am a LIFETIME customer and will HIGHLY recommend Jay Honda and Omar to any one looking to purchase or lease a new car.
