I will never order from this restaurant again after seeing how they handle things. I ordered through Grubhub and received the wrong order. After calling, a woman insisted that I return the food and said my correct order was still sitting on the counter and the driver would be back in 15. I said that’s weird considering we opened and touched the food. The driver showed up to my house 15 minutes later and said he was there to collect the wrong food and that they messed up and were cooking our order now. That makes no sense. I said that’s weird considering we touched the wrong food, so why would they take it back? 30 minutes later he came back with our food. We were all weirded out wondering if our food was picked up from another home and repackaged or what. After explaining this to Grubhub, they voluntarily offered to refund the entire order. I did not ask for a refund, I just wanted them to know what happened and that we were weirded out. They chose to refund the entire order. I then got in the shower and came out to missed calls from the restaurant. I could hear my mom, who was visiting, downstairs talking to someone. I went downstairs dripping wet in a towel to discover the driver at my front door pointing at a paper demanding that we pay after Grubhub canceled the order and they lost money. The man accused us of lying to Grubhub and saying we didn’t get the food. When I explained that I did not say we didn’t get it, he then said yes the notes say you were unsure if it was opened food. So first you’re accusing me of lying while you’re in fact lying about what’s on the paper you keep slapping. He then said we don’t redeliver opened food I threw out the order I picked up from you. Sir, you went 20 minutes out of your way to come pick up wrong food just to throw it out? That makes no sense. If you were just going to throw it out, you would have gone and at least picked up our correct food first and then showed up to make an exchange. The whole thing was really uncomfortable and I’m not sure in what world it would be appropriate to go back to a customer’s house, accuse them of lying, and demand money for your mistake. Take the issue up with Grubhub. Do not put your problem on the customer and angrily confront them at their doorway. On a normal day that would be inappropriate, during a pandemic it is insane. If I had been alone, I likely would’ve called the police. Avoid this unprofessional restaurant...
Read moreWe ordered pizza from Benito's, and I have to say, it is some of the best I've had through-out the Maple Shade area, ordered from them three different times.
The staff is very friendly, the food is great, and their menu is extensive. The cheese in particular is done amazingly, and so is the sauce. To give you an example, I had the pizza out for a few hours, took a bite, and it still felt fresh. It is MUCH, MUCH better then the Sub Shoppe or Yellow Sub, or even Gaetano's and Vincent's. It is the best you can have in Maple Shade. If I could compare it to something, it tastes kinda like Mack's Pizza down the boardwalk in Wildwood, NJ. Lastly, all their stuff are good deals, that is to say that they are a lot cheaper then some place like Yellow Sub, in a good way. Their phenomenal pizza costs less then Yellow Sub's does, and their menus have tons of coupons that are actually good deals, so not only are they the best, but they are better priced then most places nearby, with bigger, better menu's, and better deals.
I recommend them to everyone in the Maple Shade area, they were delicious.
My only complaint is a bit of a nitpick. It takes longer to get there through delivery then most places in the area, but thats just a nitpick, and it doesn't detract from...
Read moreIt is very rare that I write a review for a place, unless it absolutely deserves it. The first time my wife and I ate here, we agreed that it reminded us a lot of the succulent tastes on our trips to the street vendors in Mexico City. Approximately 8-10 hours after our meals, while sitting in bathrooms only separated by thin walls and hearing sounds coming from each that were reminiscent of howitzer class artillery fire, I realized that had this been in 1812, it could have inspired Francis Scott Key to write the Star Spangled Banner. Through the sweat, determination, and sheer energy exerted, we agreed that this is the perfect meal to kick off our detox diets through a vigorous colon cleanse. The only downside preventing this from being a 5*, is the fact that it takes 2-3 days to be able to sit in a chair again. Highly recommend this place to all like minded individuals,...
