First off, I want to say the food was absolutely delicious! It’s a beautiful spot to have in the area. Even though it was breakfast time, I got the combination with a shredded beef taco & enchilada, rice & beans, great portions!
BUT the customer service from the short lil lady at the register was NOT the best, not even close… I walked in ( the restaurant was completely empty) and no “hi” no nothing, I walked to the counter once I decided what I wanted & still no “how can I help you” NOTHING! She just stared at me, waiting for me to speak my order I guess? I placed my order, paid (& again no thank you or anything) & sat down to wait for my food to be ready. While I was sitting, a few more customers came in and same thing with them, no “hi” no “how are you?” … the customers would be like “hi there, how’s it going?” And she wouldn’t even say anything! Like why??? Is that waist trainer you got on not letting you speak?? I guess not because she was chitchatting away with the guys from the kitchen with NO ISSUES! I don’t get it!!? Anywayssssss, I was ranting I know, but customer service is such an important role in having a successful business… She needs...
Read moreWhether it’s after a long, hard day of work. Or looking to grab some dinner with the family in a friendly environment. Nicos is one of the best places to go to when it comes to the best tasting Mexican food in Tucson. Before this was built, it was a long drive to get to the nearest one. But now that it has expanded here in tangerine. It is now easier for many more people to enjoy this restaurant that doesn’t disappoint. My go to item is always gonna be the grilled chicken (pollo asado) quesadilla with guacamole and sour cream on the side along with the horchata. What’s great is there is a printed version of the menu to take home at the cash register. The vibe is great and the people are there to make your order perfect. If you’re looking to add some spice, there’s always the option of green and red salsa on the side, next to the soda machines. However what I found odd but not too concerning is the customer having to pour their salsa in the little cups on their own instead of being pre packaged like the other locations. Nonetheless I’m super happy that there’s a nicos at this location. It is convenient, clean, and definitely worth 5 stars...
Read moreMy daughter and I needed to grab a sofa on this side of town and were feeling hungry, so we decided to try Nico’s on Thornydale. A couple of things stood out: I always pay attention to cleanliness, and I was thoroughly impressed when I walked into the restroom—super clean! I ordered the super nachos, while my daughter went for the Carne Asada burrito. Both dishes were well-portioned and expertly made. The salsas were delicious, though the green salsa could have used a bit more kick. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 5! Clean establishment, great food, and friendly staff. If I'm ever in the area again, this will definitely be my...
