As someone born and raised in New England, I know a thing or two about lobster rolls. Which is why I can definitively say that Little Harbor Lobster Company in Marblehead serves up the absolute best lobster rolls in the region - hands down!
This small, no-frills storefront is a must-visit for lobster roll aficionados. The rolls are stuffed with huge chunks of fresh, sweet lobster tail meat, generously piled onto a griddled, buttery split-top bun. The lobster is dressed with just enough mayo to complement, not mask the star ingredient.
As a New Englander and lobster roll connoisseur, I appreciate that these rolls let the fresh lobster flavor shine through. The meat is always 100% lobster tail, never filler. Each sweet, tender bite transports me right back to the coast of Maine.
In addition to the stellar lobster rolls, Little Harbor also offers an array of the day's freshest catches like haddock and tuna, as well as chowders and fried seafood specials. Everything is carefully sourced right from the harbor.
For the absolute freshest and tastiest lobster rolls I've ever had, Little Harbor Lobster Company gets 5 out of 5 stars. As someone from New England who knows good lobster, I dream about these rolls! If you are anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and make these...
Read moreExcellent, high quality lobster roll. I was very impressed with the taste/quality of the lobster roll. The place is a bit of a challenge to find/park, but definitely one of the better lobster rolls I have ever had(including many top spots in Maine) lobster was unbelievably fresh, went with the warm butter lobster roll and it didn’t disappoint. Parking spots are quite limited. We wound up parking on the left side of Beacon St, just up the road. Seating options are limited as well. I wish I would have known to just continue walking a bit up the road-follow Beacon to the right past the address-to enjoy an unreal scenic little harbor and a rocky beach area where one could sit/eat/crack a beer and truly enjoy a top notch lobster/seafood experience. If anywhere near the Marblehead area, don’t miss this spot Definitely meets expectations and is worthy of the hype Cheers! FYI-This picture doesn’t do this lobster...
Read moreThe best lobster roll I've tasted at $36. Better than legal seafood (Peabody and market Street locations), better than Luke's lobsters boston, better than Bambara Cambridge, better than Boston sail loft, better than Turners in Salem. (All places I have had lobster rolls the past 2 weeks.). Simply the best so far. I had one at their shop and then took one deconstructed for dinner.
The cashier ladies were super friendly and helpful. They said the best time to come would be August. That's when lobster season is going on and prices per lobster pound can go from $17 /lb in April to $7 /lb in August. Which for them means they can sell lobster rolls as cheap as $25 which is a great deal for something this tasty.
In short, way better than the red lobster chain restaurants in California. New England area is definitely blessed and may have ruined lobster for me since I can only...
