Hip Baby Gear — Local services in Marblehead

My husband and I have had the best experiences as first time parents working with hip baby gear and getting most of our baby items there.

They carry the most beautiful and well-made products, and both their Marblehead and Lynnfield stores are inviting and well-stocked. We initially had a private appointment and spent four hours with Magda learning about car seats and strollers, etc. We got to touch things, pick things up and walk around the block with the stroller. I sat on various nursing chairs and tested out nursing pillows with a fake baby. We ended up getting such a beautiful and well-made nursing chair that I LOVED there on sale for less than $700. We walked out feeling informed and on top of it Magda created my registry which I then was able to tweak and update easily. This was really helpful!

When I’ve reached out at night via chat I actually knew who I was talking to and the owner call me the next day to follow up and consult with me on things I was questioning changing on my registry via chat, sharing her advice as a mom from experience.

They also built my stroller and literally dropped it off 20 minutes away from the store with a bow for my mom at the shower.

Another thing I like about shopping with HBG is that you create an account and get rewards points which do add up. I could go on and on. I’m so grateful for this store and could not recommend hip baby...

My husband and I discovered HBG when we were expecting our first baby last winter. Jami helped me transfer and refine my baby registry after I was totally overwhelmed by the option out there. She was so helpful and helped us narrow down the options for baby gear. She spent so much time talking to us about the different stroller options and we even were able to use a weighted doll to test out the different options. Their staff is extremely knowledgeable about different products and they’re great at helping you decide which option might work best for you/your family. We couldn’t be happier with our stroller pick and we’ve been purchasing things through HBG ever since.

Another great thing about the Marblehead store is that it has been a place where I could go to hang out and chat with Jami, Magda, and Amanda during my early postpartum days. They were always willing to listen and offer advice if I wanted it. I stopped in Hip Baby Gear after finding out I was expecting, just to poke around. Right from the start Jamie, the owner, was so helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Moreover, she had such high-end, best in the market products - not just top products from the U.S. but also Europe - I just knew I had to come back and do my registry here.

When the time came, I scheduled an appointment and Jamie walked through my entire registry with me. The best part is she knows so much about her products, and she is a mother as well, so she is honest about what you really need versus what is a nice to have. Also, she works with you to choose the products that best suit your lifestyle and purpose. She doesn't try to push a certain product/brand down your throat. Another added bonus, because I was having my shower in Marblehead she not only gave my guests the option to have gifts purchased from her store gift-wrapped but she is also delivering it to the venue for them as well. All around great products and great service - I am a huge fan and will be a regular in this store....
