BEST GROUPER YOU CAN GET?? MY FOOT! I can't really stress enough how disappointed I was in this sandwich and even more so myself for believing the hype. I came here thinking I was about to get the $25 grouper sandwich of a lifetime according to the clearly filtered reviews (Check Website). Since most all the reviews are from 3 years ago I'm guessing they stopped letting reviews through and I'll be surprised if my review actually makes it to public eyes. That's because this sandwich was simply ok at best. It reminded me of a fancy McDonalds filet-o-fish except smaller. Yes smaller. Usually a good fish sandwich has plenty of fish with a nice airy fried crispy crust and a unique and delicious tarter. This had none of these. But at least my fish was not dry unlike my mothers mahi-mahi. I felt sorry for her because it was visibly dry and the portion was very small (2 small strips $24). It was so dry you had to rip it apart. Even worse when she kindly asked the waiter about it he responded "well that's just a dry fish you shouldn't have ordered it fried." Excuse me? If your chef is unable to produce a non-dry, fried mahi you shouldn't have put it on the menu. I'd like to see you tell this to the dozen's of other Naples area chef's who are more than capable of producing a delicious and moist fried mahi-mahi. Dad rated his frog legs 4/10. And my dad pretty much likes everything he eats. Honestly the only truly worthwhile thing was gator bites as they were decent and priced accordingly. To top it all off after clearing all our plates the rude waiter sat there and chatted with his boyfriend for 10 minutes before returning the credit card so we could leave already. Very disappointing experience. Never trust website reviews. Only trust reviews on a third party website like Google, TrustPilot, Yelp, etc. The live music was...
Read moreToday, a friend of mine was verbally assaulted by two employees. One woman, maybe late 20s early 30s (the bartender) and an older gentleman with white hair and a light blue shirt engaged in the most unprofessional behavior I have ever seen.
I will NEVER come back to this establishment, and would like the contact information of management.
For context, apparently some people from her boat were bringing outside alcohol from the boat. Unaware of the circumstances initially, she actually heard about it and became the good samaritan and went to the boat to PUT THINGS AWAY.
She then became a target for an absolute wrath and rage characterized by swearing, finger in the face, and truly unprofessional behavior, when she was not the one partaking in this behavior.
No matter the behavior of ANY guest, nobody should be subject to such verbal abuse. Professionalism needs to be reviewed here. This is also after nearly $300 was spent at this establishment.
My friend is one of the kindest, most peaceful people I know. She was left in tears following this event and is still emotionally recovering. An apology is warranted, to say the least. Doesn’t matter what the offense, behavior, or reason is, every person deserves to be treated like an actual human being.
I have faith in the goodness of humanity. I believe these employees are worthy of forgiveness. And vice versa. May peace be brought upon these people and this situation by...
Read moreWhen you are in the Sunshine State, restaurant with outdoor seating and live music are not hard to find. We were introduced to one of the popular spot by locals, where they had plenty of food, booze, and music!
When we arrived, they had a live band playing some oldies, and patrons were dancing their heats out! Around the stage and the dancing floor, they had more outdoor seating, with a view of water.
We got there around 3:30pm, and lucky for us, they have happy hour from 3pm – 6pm. Actually, they call that “Idle Hour” here. After some wait, we got attention of a server, and we ordered Margarita, Popcorn Shrimp, Clam Strips, and Fried Mozzarella. The orders arrived rather quickly, which was great.
Margarita was strong and tasty, but not big in size though. All the "snacks" we ordered was nice, but kind of small in portion as well. And since all the dishes we ordered were all fried, they almost tasted the same…
They have a souvenir shop on the premises, selling Stan’s special gift items, including t-shirts and hats. They had loads of really funny items as well, it is worth checking it out.
We certainly had a fun afternoon with nice snacks and drinks. Our server, Brandon was very friendly and helpful, he took a really...
